my dad died a week ago. these songs, especially Kristofferson's, remind me so much of him. he was an amazing singer, too. i miss watching him perform. but what i miss the most are the songs he sang at home, just for me. maybe both our dads are together, watching over us.

Amazing how much better music can be when performed by people that love each other and their music. Those of us that had the good fortune to live through that great period of music were indeed blessed, the 60s and 70s were the best of times.

@Mzungu64 I did see them in person....I truly enjoyed it. They played way over 3 hrs. We finally had to leave because of getting up at 4 AM to go to work. Nobody can ever take Wylon or Johnny's place. Willie and Kris play on and have a special place in my heart ALWAYS.

Willie is last of the Highwaymen....just got back from Nashville...Willie sang Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die..at the Bridgestone....2nd row center...still using the same neck sling rather than a shoulder strap..that guitar has a 2nd hole in it now. Sadly, Waylon's guitar was lost in the Nashville Flood. Hank Jr. brought down the house! Watching these legends through your posts is as close as I ever thought I would get. Great video.
