Thomas Sweeney, I'll tell the answer. The only reason James did that because Gordon couldn't be bothered to be washed, he couldn't take the express and that's why he had to shunt trucks.

Here are James' Lines: Line 1: Sir, Open Up! Line 2: It's Me James, and I've just come back from the Steamworks! Line 3: Oh, About that. Well, back in the previous episode, Thomas bumped into me with the coaches and it caused me to lose my old voice. So then, Victor gave me this new Voice. Line 4: Thanks guys. Line 5: Oh-Right! I Just Came here to tell you that on my way back from the steamworks, i ran into one of the policeman and they found footage of Three diesels inside and unknown tunnel, and they also told me to show it to you guys. Line 6: Sure thing! Line 7: Well if you can't push freight cars Henry, why not talk to a tree instead? You Know How much you love the Forrest. Line 8: (Embarrassed) Oh Yeah...i remember now. Line 9: Hey, I got an idea! Line 10: Let's Do This! Line 11: Nobody! Line 12: Well, We've caught you three red handed...And Now your all in trouble! Line 13: Why, thank you Edward. Line 14: Yeah!
