A slight deviation from the planned video, but it's still included.... I took my eye off the ball the other day, and realised I'd just hit 100 subscribers!! Thank you so much to everyone who has got me this far... onwards and upwards.
The actual video was going to simply be a Check Your Change video where I found an old round Pound in a trolley shelter in the local Asda, but the good news kind of usurped that!!
Thanks again to everyone for getting me to 100!

I'm relieved you didn't say anything about the edge inscriptions being 'upside down'! What a FANTASY language that is...

That would be a video in its own right! As we know, some edge inscriptions are upside down, but others (like some £2 coins) can be either way.

Sorry, what I meant to say is there is no such thing as 'upside down', it's completely random as to which way edge inscriptions go, as in it's totally irrelivent. It can occur on ANY coin with an edge inscription.@@LesCoins-uk

There are several ways to sell coins, no matter where you are in the world. 1 - local collectors (maybe through a Facebook group?). 2 - Coin dealers in your area, but you won't get a good price as they have to make a profit too. 3 - Ebay. Option 3 may be the best and restrict buyers to SA or your local area. Good luck. Cheers.

Hi. You have the version for the year 2000? That year the coin has the Welsh Dragon on the reverse. Most of the old reverse designs were used for different years. Cheers.

Hi. They appear every so often here in the UK on Ebay and sell for between £2-£5... depending on condition. If you are outside of the UK, you might get more on Ebay in your country as they would be harder to find. Good luck.

Hi. It's probably a 10p ("Ten New Pence" on the reverse). They are quite common even though they they are no longer legal tender.

Hi, The sell your coins, try local coin collectors or Ebay. The 1983 £1 is worth about £2 if in good condition in the UK, but in India you will get more. This was also the first year they were issued so there are a lot out there. The 20p is still a current coin and not worth much more than face value but in India you might get £1-£2. 1949 was the Florin, or 2 Shillings. This is made of copper/Nickel and fairly common, but you might get a £2.

Hi Neil. I'd rather have it in my collection, but I believe one of the reasons to withdraw the old round pound, was because you could use a little bit of cigarette packet foil to hold two old 5p coins..... allegedly the result is the same size. I wouldn't know 😎 Cheers.

The main reason they withdrew them is because there were MILLIONS of forgeries circulating! I've seen dozens myself.@@LesCoins-uk
