Had this team won the champions League, I have no doubt in my mind that it would have gone down as the greatest team ever. This team was scary. I mean, they could rip you apart in seconds with a counterattack. All this team didn't have was luck. Pace, power, aerial strength, set pieces, possession based football, counterattacking football you name it. This team had everything. And they said Jose doesn't play beautiful football.

True, I remember those times looking forward to watching Madrid play in all competitions just knowing that you’ll see a festival of goals and good football. Now Madrid loses to mid table teams in league and Ajax in UCL 😥

mannygomez24 now we know we will see a festive of goals but against us not for us :( but dont worry Madrid is rebuilding and we will reach the level of this 2011/2012 and the 2016/2017 seasons which I think were some of our best ever seasons.

@Vernon Francis Gallagher yes, no disrespect to him, but to have dubbed him as the greatest ever, you have to go through Jose and Pep, Cruyff and even some of the oldies too. Especially with the team he used to have and yes he didn't buy players like Real Madrid, but he got what he fought for and a huge respect to him, but still to have him as the greatest ever is a blasphemy to Jose and Pep,( I won't include others before 2000)

This Real Madrid is vastly superior to even Ancelottis 13/14 and Zidanes 16/17 Team. The intensity and mental fortitude this team had was unparalleled. The biggest thing that they missed was luck especially in the Championsleague. Notice how this Real Madrdi team never stopped scoring goals? With Zidane and Ancelotti, once the lead was established in big games(even in some small ones) they sit back and hope for a counter but Mourinho's RM always pushed forward for the finisher. I am confident this team outclasses Zidane's RM team as well as Ancelotti's RM.

Xabi Alonso y Khedira para el equilibrio en mediocampo. Ozil en su apogeo, jugando como un maestro. Angelito Di María descarado como siempre. Cristiano Ronaldo en su apogeo también, con sus capacidades físico-atleticas y tecnicas a tope. Benzema e Higuaín peleandose la titularidad y matandose por hacer más goles que el otro. Y el hombre clave, Jose Mourinho que le dió ese estilo de juego letal al Real Madrid. El resultado: la ofensiva más temible de la historia y que acabó con la época dorada del que muchos dicen que es el mejor equipo de la historia: el Barcelona de Josep Guardiola. Nunca más se verá algo igual a esto.

@@rodrigofuentes5751 mi estimado, concuerdo en que este fue el Madrid más temible de todos, pero el que estuvó más cerca de ganar el triplete fue el de Ancelotti en la 2013-2014, que ganó la décima y la copa del rey y se quedó a 3 puntos de los 90 que hizo el Atleti; puntos que le fueron arrebatados el día que le regalaron 2 penales al barça en el 3-4 del Santiago Bernabeú.

8 goals Vs At. Madrid in that season , who know La Liga know what iam talking about. In my mind best Team in Eroupe in the last 20 years, i never saw a team that lethal in the counter attack, that team had Speed(R7,DeMaria), had Creativity(Ozil,Kaka), had typical Stickers w best finshes(Benzema,H), had best midfield Due Alonso,Sami K And Best LB in the world and Strong Aggrasive Cbs, and most importantly they had tge Special One Jose Mourinho the best manager i ever seen. Jose is recreating that team in Spurs, his couple of players short of that, CB(Like Ramos), and number 10(like ozil), i think next season Jack Girlish and Koulibaly/Skriniar could complete this puzzle. Re visit this comment in two years and you will See Spurs winning the PL with Record of goals and points maybe Unbeaten(I doubt that). Jose Mourinho is back to his best.

@@robertoacosta5542 bueno le eliminaron en penaltis el bayern, y el barsa tenia tanto miedo que se puso hacer posesion defensiva en la 2010/2011 y contra el Dortmund estuvo cerca de remontar. Las sensaciones de los rivales eran, '' un error es un gol del rival'' sin embargo el de zidane daba pena, tuvo suerte de encontrarse rivales como wolfsburg y man city cuando, o sino habisn penales en el 90 etc...

@@heisenberg7156 tal vez, pero su capa cidad goleadora mejoró muchísimo. En esos tiempos Cristiano se generaba 10 ocasiones por partido y a lo mucho metía 3. Comprendió que no ganaba partidos el que más corría o el que más driblaba, gana partidos el que más goles mete.

The fans are with Mourinho at Real but not the players. I don't think this lot of players in the club are good, especially Courtois and Hazard. If Mourinho re-joins Real, he should be given 200 million and the right to clear out as much deadwood as he wants because he can't win the UCL with the current squad.

As a Man City fan, I am glad to see Real Madrid side in 2011-12 with good team playing skills like Man City 2018-19. Also, that Real Madrid side has unrivalled counterattacking skills. One such goal scored by Man City which is like Real Madrid's counterattacking goals that season is Sane's goal against Liverpool in the 2-1 win in 2018-19 season. That counterattack started from Ederson dispossessing the ball from Liverpool and Sane left with space as Aguero dragged Trent out of his position.

@@willg1088 2020 Bayern Munich < 2011-12 Real Madrid. 2020 Bayern Munich won the Champions League which is not the normal year's Champions League due to having it continued in one month after teams from other countries' leagues played more games and got tired. Now I see Bayern knocked out of DFB Pokal. Real Madrid 2011-12 managed to reach semifinals of Champions League and only got unlucky that they lost in semifinals penalty shootouts. They really deserved the treble that season.
