Thanks so much HW, this is really helpful. Since buying my Kemper a few months ago, I found a few really good profiles and just used those. Now I want to learn how to add effects, change speaker cabinets etc. Looking forward to the the next lesson about the performance modes. Your easy way of explaining things makes it a pleasure to learn more about the Kemper.

This video deserves a huge like. As a kemper user I must say it helps a lot to get started with this great device. Being completely honest, I didn't go too much through settings in two years I've been using the kemper, but this video definitely gave me some hints to get more out of it. Great job dude! Dude, I can't thank you enough for this video! I've had my Kemper Toaster for 3 days (32 hours of that, just playing with it!), and the "kraftwerken" manual made no mention of "how to get to these parameters" (e.g. Sag...) which was the main reason I bought this. I don't learn well from videos (I'm a Technical Writer in my "day job", and as a Austrian, I recognize the "kraftwerken" mindset when I encounter it!), but by listening to you a couple of times, and then really eyeing the camera shots, I've found the mysteries I sought. Thanks again for the time and effort in creating this - it is much appreciated!

Jeff Lee - something worth mentioning. You can also save and name your stomps as a preset in the stomps section. this way you can save numerous combinations of fx and bring them up instantly for different profiles. The way to do this is to hold down the STOMPS button (in this screen you can also easily rearrange the order of your fx) and press store. you will then have a "STOMPS section" option press that button and name and save your preset, done. The way to recall this preset is to again HOLD the STOMPS button, and while in this screen turn the browse knob. you will see any saved STOMPS presets. This same process works for the EFFECTS section. This is a HUGE time saver. Hope that is helpful to people Cheers

Did you get one? I've been considering one for a while. My concern is that every time I invest in the latest tech, it goes obsolete, and ends up in my closet. My other concern is how repairable it is, and how long they will be manufacturing parts. I have some really nice tube amps. I would only get a Kemper for versatility on the fly. Being able to switch sounds quickly.

You are exactly right saying we have never heard the actual amp sounds that we love because of the processing after them. Drums are even more processed than guitars. Modelling should have been the next evolution, but the Kemper is the real deal evolution. Personally, I would just buy profiles from the pro's. They KNOW how to mic up, use the BEST equipment and you are pretty much guaranteed to get a very convincing sounding amp, cab, effect etc. You will never need more than a dozen or so variations, but if you want to store 500, go ahead. The only Thing I am a peeved about with the Kemper is the cost of the dedicated foot board. You need this to access a lot of features, the looper to name a major one. But take a gamble, with this guy showing you the best way to get set up, you'll be leaving your big rigs at home and selling the van!!!

Just got myself a Kemper Stage, I've gotta say, after tons and tons of research, as well as you being the main force in my reasoning behind pulling the trigger on one of these. I got as ballsy when I got the Kemper to literally just get rid of my Blackstar that I was using. I initially was horrified, now that I've had it, I've never been happier with my sound. Waiting for a bit more cash and I will get the power Kabinet to pair with it to really add to the live stage sound or for jamming with friends when needed. But for me, the silent abilities this has into a daw is all I've ever asked for.

Simple. I literally just treat the XLR outs as mic outs. those go into my UA Volt, little of the on board compression, into in my case FL Studio, I select the Inputs for my Audio Interface, add some post EQ, sometimes a little extra compression and BOOM all done. Ready to jam to songs, record, be creative, whatever you desire.
