TONERIDER Vintage Plus Telecaster Pickups

Playing straight through a Tone King Imperial clean. These are one of my favorite sets of pickups for a Tele. I’m getting ready to post a review for the Alnico ll Blues Tele pickups. Hit the subscribe to my channel button and get a notification when the review posts.

Lovely tone and playing sir! I love these pick-ups and have them in four of my Telecasters, I've tried many others, but these just give me everything I want from a Telecaster tone, they're great pick-ups.

I now have two guitars with these in. I've got Fender Custom shop pick-ups in another, Bare Knuckle Piledrivers in another and Iron Gear Steel Twins in another. I'm building another Telecaster in the next few months. I'll' be buying a third set of Vintage Plus's for that guitar. These are fantastic pick-ups, decent output without being too hot, really excellent tonal range, will give you that classic Telecaster twang and spank. The dirty up beautifully too - they do it so you can still hear each string rather than everything turning to mud when you're over-driving. I cannot recommend these highly enough.

Don, this is one of the finest demos I have ever had the pleasure to hear. I'm doing a custom Tele build and I was on the fence about what pickups to use , but not anymore. I am ordering a set of these Toneriders and I might also get some Strat p/u's to do a loaded pickguard because I swap those out all the time. Those were some beautiful tones you coaxed out of the Tele. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Meanwhile my custom Tele is complete = a love of labour and labour of love! Managed to get a set of second hand Fender American Standard that cleaned up nicely. They sound great with the T-line zebra wood top and American swamp ash body. Thanks again for your review.

Thanks so much.. I agree. To my ears, they sound better than some of the more expensive pickups out there. Having said that, I have since replaced them with Lollar 52 Ts and I love them but they are pricey..

Yeah what a beautiful sound you have just cemented my decision on these tonerider vintage pickups I was thinking about the hot classics but no these vintage plus are for me Thumbs up from Geelong Australia 👍🇦🇺👍👑

@@Bluesgtar Hi Don I have bought them and l am awaiting to put them in I have just purchased a 60s classic Vibe Telecaster but also I have a replica of Richie kotzen Telecaster from China I think I will put the toneriders in that guitar 🎸 I have been told that 60s classic Vibe Telecaster pick ups are pretty good so I think I will leave that stock 🙂

Had an original Tele in the 1950's, that was stolen from a gig. Now at 75, I thought I might start playing again. Had a shock when I saw the current Fender Tele prices. So I purchased a cheap copy, and am in the process of upgrading. Toneriders TRT 3 are ideal and within my price range. Hope I will sound as good (don't hold your breath Don).

Hi, building a tele now. thinking of getting this for the price. it says RWRP which should theoretically minimise hum. Did you put shielding on yours? I know you've replaced them already. Any reason why?

I've played both. I think the vintage plus has more sweet tone. The broadcaster has a lot of mids.

The guitar is custom build from Chandler Guitars. They were out of San Francisco in the late 80s. Bought it on EBay 15 yrs ago for $350. It’s my favorite. Thanks for watching.
