I think he did it to try to win her love and validation.

First you might not understand or watch backward , he didn't want to but she fought and got the visitation right for the child, while having that arrangement he slowly feeling attracted to her and the love blooms. What character of him you didn't like? He suffered everything from his mom and dad where all he wanted was love from his parents, he did not have it and he doesn't want his son to feel the same, he does everything for his child to be happy coz he knows the child happiness is with the mom, he forgets his ROLE OF LIFE TO NEVER LOVE AND MARRIED and give his life a chance with the mother of his child who love him throughout those years he was away from them. His decision and situation wasn't easy with the nagging mother, problem in company, and his child who always cry for his mother. Lol try yourself to be him...For sure you breakout!!! Lol

Taking a photo of Wu Tong to give an impression that they had an intimidate sexaul act, although nothing has happened, was immaterial, because Xiam Jun did it purposely stabbing Wu Tong's image as a woman.
