Great video! As someone who’s trying to become a visual development artist these tips are incredibly helpful. I was wondering what kind of portfolio a visual development artist would have? What type of skill set/ artworks would be expected? Are people looking for a ‘jack of all trades’ in terms of art skill, or would they look at specific skills specific artists would bring to the table? I, for example, excel at storytelling, mood and lighting in my works. I’ve spent so much time trying to work on my backgrounds, lighting and atmosphere, that I really struggle with drawing other things such as animals and mech. I was wondering what people look for in a visual development artist and what’s expected of them.
