To this day I’ve been watching the tv show over 70 years. There was something about the show that you just loved. I have love watching it bring back memories. Wally was the best .

I still watch the reruns too! Manage to find 1 I haven't seen once in awhile! Wonder why he didn't play any new roles?

It is so sad to hear that Tony did not have a happy home life during his time as Wally on Leave it to Beaver. At the same time, his typecasting as Wally interfered with his desire to become an actor independent of that role. Because, to all of us, he was a great “Wally”. Everyone loved him. I’m thankful that he was surrounded by his family and was so close to his children. Life is sometimes unfair when someone tries to distance himself from the world that made him a star. We will always love you, Tony Dow. ❤

Tony used to drive up to Santa Barbara around 1964, in his white Porsche 356 Coupe, to play Volleyball on East Beach. I was a surfer, but one of my friends got to know him.

I used to surf from sunrise to night. I made a couple of surfboards. My hairiest wave was riding a 12 footer as a hurricane approached. I don’t know how I lived through that.

Why is it that a lot of actors and professional people have mental issues and depression. They ought to try growing up dirt poor, wearing hand me down clothes from three brothers. Had an outhouse and no running water. You ate what was put on the table or went hungry and was happy with what you ate. Carried water from a block away so mom could wash clothes in an old wringer washer then five kids took their baths in a rinse tub when she was done. I grew up normal with all lifes ups and downs which is the life is. Be happy with what you get and make the most of it.
