I'm pretty sure tony can make more combinations on this 4 piece than i could on a terry bozzio kit.....

That's what I mean exactly. That might of came out a little weird, but what I was trying to say was that people like Tony can do more on a 4-piece than modern metal drummers can do on their monsters of drum sets that surround them completely.

This kit is still available if you'd like to buy it. I also have a Roland TD30KV that Thomas Lang made his bitch, and a Yamaha DTX540 that Matt Sorum modeled with :)

matt halpern uses a 3 piece, and manages to make the most amazing music out there... you guys are both right, i think the number one person who has an exaggerating kit is terry bozzio. and he doesnt even use all of his stuff. he should donate to drummers who are in need of equipment lolol

Awesome! He rocked that kit past the stratosphere! All it takes is a four-piece kit with a couple of cymbals. I personally find this more fascinating and musical than an overblown kit. With the chops, energy and imagination anything is possible. Phantasmikal!

because you don't shop at my store ;) Drums inside a shop get messed with all day long everyday and require constant maintenance everyday. There is usually too many things to do in most shops to continuously be tuning up kits. I do my best though to keep my shop looking and sounding good.

To the many, a drum solo. To Tony, ...eh just a warm up, practice session.

Tony Royster and Buddy Rich make a 4-piece seem like the only drums you'll ever need; unfortunately, most of us aren't that lucky

Yeah, no jazz for me yet somehow Dave Weckl has eeked his way into my #1 all time spot for stupid good drummers. I'm speaking in terms of power incorporated with dynamics. Go watch 20 Chris Coleman videos then refer 5 drummers to me with more of what I've referred to. Don't bother cuz t'ain't happnin brother dude. Andy is a good drummer for sure in any regard. Jazz drummers are just from another dimension. Weckl I'm told has 3 alternate limbs in the 11th dimension in fact which explains a lot.

Amazing drummer but I still prefer Chris Coleman over Tony as far as dynamics. In fact Chris may be the only drummer on earth more dynamic.
