I just finished getting fitted for clubs today. I tried TaylorMade QI, Mizuno JPX923 and Cobra Darkspeed. Not only did I crush the Cobra irons the farthest, they were also the most accurate. I honestly thought I’d be walking out with Taylor made but Cobra’s results changed my mind. My normal 7 iron is 150-160 yards. With the cobra I was hitting 170-180 with my farthest one going 205 yards. Distance irons with accuracy! I recommend people trying and comparing

Got fitted at club champion this week. Was previously playing with Calloway apex and was being fitted comparing the Cobra Darkspeed, Ping G430, Calloway Ai Smoke, and Titleist T350. I ended up with the Darkspeeds to my and to the fitter’s surprise. They were remarkably consistent for me. Launch angle, spin, distance, smash factor. Checked all the boxes. They are long and I’ll have to adjust, but I cannot believe I chose a non-forged iron, they were just that good. Went with Ping hybrid and fairway wood, Titleist driver and wedges, but I could not go with any other setup than the Darkspeed irons. They do look a bit flashy on the back, but the dark color and the look from above are very nice. Hope when they arrive I hit them as good as I did at the fitters.

I'm always suspicious that 90% of the R&D budgets go to drivers, 9% to fairways and hybrids and 1% to updating the badge on the GI irons from the year before. Change my mind, lol.

I personally think the jacked lofts are not beneficial to higher handicap golfers. My higher handicap friends don't produce enough club head speed so have a 5,6,and 7 iron all carrying the same distance. Then you need 3 or 4 wedges. More traditional lofts would be better and ignore the bs about the tech

Lofts are getting ridiculous. Bring back 90’s lofts!

Completely agree, brands are now offering HL for GI irons, it's a shame Cobra haven't

You mention there are other irons that you prefer to check the distance box for game improvement irons but you don't tell us which ones!! Help your viewers out by being completely foth coming with important information

That video is coming soon, but the Qi irons, Srixon ZX4 and Titleist T350's are great. These are also great irons!

⁠⁠@@GolfmagicPlusNot sure what video you guys watched (maybe you posted the wrong one or something changed in editing?), but I do recall comments from your team about not feeling as confident with these irons compared with other game improvement irons, and that they felt heavy in the hand. It’s not the kind of comments I would expect to hear about irons that are great. Your assessment therefore is a little confusing. Still, thank you for the hard work and presentation.
