Stakes is High is "my" De La record, but Saturdays, Keepin' the Faith and Ring Ring Ring (Ha ha hey hey) are for sure among the funnest... which is so weird for a record called "De La Soul Is Dead".

Warms our heart here to see someone so young go seek out all the best music regardless of age. Greatness has no excellence. Tribe for many of us is EASILY in both top 5 underrated in hip hop and top 5 most forgotten gem's of hip hop for all of us who grew up in the GOLDEN age of hip hop the 70's 80's and 90's.

Bonita means "pretty" in Spanish. And the term "applebum" means a nice shaped *ahem* booty (cheeks like tight, round apples). So translated, Bonita Applebum means "Pretty Butt".

Been a fan of A.T.C.Q. & still have the lps & the 12" singles. I use to be a guess dj & supported & help out the main dj at Glam Slam/Quest night club era. Soul is still here it's just not mainstream its underground. Artist like Roc Marciano, Elzhi, Little Brother, Griselda, Willie the Kid, Stalley, ect is keeping the 90s feel alive it's just not popular.
