The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?

I would avoid index funds, mutual funds, and specific stocks for the time being. Right now, the best option is a fixed income of five percent. Put money aside for the times when the market really starts to bounce back.

45% of Americans do not invest in the stock market because of lack of guidance. Every year you don't invest, you are falling behind. I’m hitting numbers in the stock market I used to dream of… Going from $50k to $600k in my portfolio is surreal all thanks to insights from my financial advisor.

Most average families favor Walmart, filled with Chinese affordable options, and most people would have almost nothing affordable to improve lives everywhere 😮 Same with affordable EVs now 80% of people agree with that they're considering an EV for the next car. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤷‍♀️ Our US is basically run by greedy oil companies with a military industrial complex to bully countries that don't play according to our rules. Our US government took Russians money and gave it to Ukraine, so the global majority "Brics", is tired of the US manipulating them, so by "Brics" dumping trillions of dollars more recently, the IMF actually announced a rare alert, that we're seeing more rapid de-dolllarization than anyone expected 🙄 The central bank of central banks, as was announced, now rates Gold as "Gold, being actop tier global currency", and the dollar is just equal but losing prominence in many ways. 😮 🤔 Plus Washington printed recently more trillions of dollars more recently than the past decades combined and still no infrastructure or improvements to show for it and thus devaluing the dollar, ongoing every 90 days, another trillion more dollars in debt. Recent automakers pay negotiations are already in the dump because our political puppets are allowed to act only for greedy corporations agendas and like military industrial complex and trillions of dollars are twice as fast losing value from more rapid de-dolllarization & printed that the government says they can't stop 🙄 Our options should include buying from where we need to buy affordable options.

Perhaps but then, the U.S. will have to answer to the WTO in which it is a member of - and to answer to Wal-Mart, KMart, Targets and any large business conglomerate that deals with low cost Chinese made products to sustain their business model. Rising costs have already seen a demise of many "Family Dollar" stores that serve the large percentage of Americans on low income and already doing it tough. The U.S. no longer manufactures low cost pots and pans these days.

America could not protected its industries by tariffs. They would withered away slowly. Remember, China is the top trade partners to over 100 nations. So if the rest of the world is drive Chinese cars and Russian petroleum. They would be more cost efficient and able to produce cheaper products. What s left of G7? EU IS de industrialised as we speak while America goods would only competitive within America, thanks to the hefty tariffs.
