Can I offer some best advice? Do whatever you can to fixing that bumper and fender, replace the left front headlight assembly, and get the motor to be perfect. You'll have yourself a super cool daily driver. That's definitely a gem of a car that deserves the royal treatment. Please don't part the car out, buddy!!!

Its too nice and well optioned to part out. The condition is really good too. It need fixed/ restored. It would be a travesty of epic proportion to part this beauty out.

For me it is always incredible how fast good cars are thrown away because of some minor damage. Parts for these cars are dirt cheap, put on new front parts and it will be a beautiful car to enjoy. I restored my '83 FWB which was in way worse shape to begin with. It needed new bumper, vinyl, paint, engine, transmission and much more. The fact that this one still has it's original fillers and they are still good is incredible.

Always fun to see a car where they checked all the boxes! It’s surprising to see some of the options they offered at that time. There were a lot more stand alone line items back then and you didn’t have to buy a certain package to get certain options.

We had an ‘83 Eldorado with everything this car has except the Astroroof. The Pwr driver recliner is super rare. And we thought we were superior people with a car that had memory seats in ‘83.

I agree with the -like 900 other people in comments that say save it. Trying to think of a one guy does devils advocate reason to part it but, this super rare optioned example -the overall condition seems just way too good to scavenge. Of the all the other "pots ca" videos you've made of these Broughams, this one clearly has the most potential I've seen yet -even if it does just collect dust in your back yard for awhile🙂 At least cover it to protect it's current condition from UV damage. Hope it was worth what you paid for it as a factor if nothing else. Thanks for entertaining us with this unique beast!!

You have other beaters out back. Use a fender and the front bumper and header panel for this car. Paint to match and sell for reasonable price. It's not a collision that totalled the car, it's only made it where new parts are needed. This isn't a frame restoration and the customer is lied to. ( It's a cream puff, look at that interior ) That's definitely still a very serviceable beautiful Cadillac. Of course it's also a beautiful donor car if you had a nice body with a destroyed interior. I personally would fix this one and sell it.

I think it's definitely one to fix up and keep going. It is extremely rare with all those options. It wouldn't take much to make it a very nice car again. again.

That car looks absolutely amazing, deserves to be repaired. Back in the early eighties and nineties I used to buy insurance auction cars. Picked up a 78 sedan DeVille d'Elegance brougham, had a coach top with a Frenched in back glass and 3 inch wide white walls. 33000 original miles on the 425. You would have died seeing this car. It was a recovered theft, you would have loved it. I'm just coming across this channel today, you mentioned you're in New England I'm in Massachusetts, maybe at some point I'll pay you a visit and check out your inventory. Keep saving em. 👍✌️🇺🇲

Please give her the repair she deserves. That is the holy grail of broughams with every single option! That has been my dream car for a long time (I need the recline option because of my back.) I would think with a little work, you could really make some money on it.

Crazy story. A buddy of mine had his caddy in for service. A simple oil change. He absolutely loved that car and always did the maintenance. Problem was he had a tec that don't know cars much and does like oil changes only. The problem was the car was to long and to heavy for the lift. Long story short it fell off the lift while up in the air and folded up like a banana 😢. Very sad story about a caddy that had less then 100k miles. He wasn't happy to say the least.

Anthony...If it were me, I would do my best to fix this car. A little TLC with a few cosmetic repairs and mechanical repairs, that car would shine! A loaded Caddy like that would be worth saving!!!

Wow, that does have a lot of cool options. I didn’t know there was a memory seat option on these, and seeing those extra metal buttons for it was surreal. That damage looks like it can be repaired without a crazy amount of trouble given the frame isn’t bad. I hope it gets saved as it is definitely a worthy investment.

I had this car new in 87. Charcoal Grey moon roof and everything else. Beautiful Silver Grey leather seats❤❤ Mine was not a d’elegance. 27,568. When new. 5.0 was the only engine option. No power that year. I’m 68 now. Have a Lincoln Navigator now.

I use to work at a Cadillac Pontiac & Oldsmobile dealership in Washington state back in the day and I sure love your channel and I was the head detailer and before that at the dealership I was a lot porter ( lot lizard 🦎) and warranty personnel !
