that's okay! My aunt started to have babies in her 40's, they all are very healthy, now she is 70, and still she is a healthy strong woman, just take care of yourself... try to have good habits.

Hello, BBC community! I'm 67 and having become a mother in my late twenties I think it takes a great amount of energy to take care of a child and later on to understand the new generation as they grow. The younger you are the easier it is. Children need patience and energy more than money. A parent should be companionable. Furthermore, labor is a big strain on the woman's body. There is more risk of malformation as women get older. Maybe in the future it will all be a laboratory procedure, so half as problematic... That's why it is easier for a man, as long as he doesn't get grumpy with old age.

Greg fathered his child in his thirties, which is quite normal, but his wife, Grace, was, God forbid, 100! Someone really should pat Grace on the back. She is a phenomenon. A thousand years later, the story of Grace and Greg still lingers.

I am 41 years old and I do not choose be mother at 40 years. I would prefered be mother in my 30 years old but physical ill and temporal medication, no being mutual love with my possible choices and bad economy were important factors to no be biologic mother. I always be a mother of my cat and some people, but this age is not the ideal to be mother.

@@manohar_kushwaha058 maybe the men are the problem, old semen and less values, too drinking and too fat..in my case, I feel younger than my 20 and with more Interesting men than that years, but they found other Girls and they are daddy in 2 ways

I think it's so difficult to have a baby in this era, not least old people. However, in Vietnam(my country) , there is a woman who gave birth her child successfully when she was 46 years old and that was incredible.

I think you are not old to have a baby you can adopt one when you are financially stable and give her everything you would give if you bore it from your own womb as lord Krishna was also nurtured and taken care by yashodha maa she was not his birth mother so if you are too old still there is hope adopt one and fill her and your life with happiness but for that money is needed so financial stability is a must otherwise how to educate and give her best education like you would have given your own borne child 👍😊🥰

I would like to support my children during their young age. We are immigrants and my children definitely will be needed some support. When my husband was born his parents were 40 yo. When he was 20 yo his mum became a disabled person and retired, and his dad died of an illness. My husband still was a student in those days. But you can survive in your home country, however, it's harder if you are an immigrant. So, I think it's better to give birth a little bit earlier...

I'm 43 years old and, although I don't belong to the new generation of girls, I have never wanted to become a mother. Just I have never felt ready and comfortable with the idea. To be honest, I hope that young women don't follow in my footsteps because, especially in Italy, we are moving in a dangerous direction, and only a few women decide to give birth nowadays. I'm afraid Italian people are meant to disappear.

I think that give a birth to a child depends on life conditions of parents .For example , if you hardly take care of yourself with money it is unfit give a birth to a child. Because compare to previous time looking and taking care of baby is not easy. The life conditions are improving tremendously

With me, women should'nt give birth over forty. It takes lots of risks at babies's health(especially Down), and old parents often educate the child not well(I can see it all around me)
