Never Be Too Shy To Change How The Story Ends

dang, this is moving. I hate being shy, but i feel every time i try to talk, no one listens to me, so i just quit talking. When i was little i used to talk and talk and talk, but now, i barely talk. I feel their is no point in talking, as i'm just alone talking in my head. what's the point any more. Is there any body out there to even listen any more? I rarely try any more, and my voice just trails off, because i give up mid sentence. I have one friend in my life, that will listen to me, and i skype her every day. She is the only friend that could ever make me happy, and for that, were friends forever. People don't notice the small things in life that really change a person's world. for me, just listening is one of them. Isabelle, if your out there listening, as i know you would be listening, thanks for being that special friend ;)

This is my life literally.. I had a crush when I was 9.. I was shy to tell.. Then She and her parents moved away to a different country.. Literally a week back we got connected again thru Facebook .. After almost 18 yrs.. She is married with kids now and I am engaged. I told here I had a crush on her.. She told me the same thing.. She had a crush on me too.. And she also was shy.. We talked a lot.. About each and everything.. But now it's all too late.. I then remembered watching this video before and came back to share it with her. This was like our life playing.. But not with a happy ending like this..

Oh my god. I was CHOKING on my tears and thinking about how sad and tragic the story was! A boy who's been in love with his girl best friend for years and was too shy to say it and he had to watch her move on and have a family with another man. Then when she dies in their old age, is given her old diary from their teenage years together which contained the many thoughts of her love for HIM all that time and how she just wished he said something to her. But she wouldn't say anything about her feelings to not risk their friendship and it showed his old self reading it and realizing the life they could have had together if he just spoke up and got over his shyness. I was bawling like a baby and searching for my tissue box! :'( But then he said, "But that's not how the story really ends, because I am not shy anymore..." and then it showed him staring at the girl across the room with the diary in her hands, crying as she stares at him. Then the room applauds with the girls and even the guys all emotional. And I'm like, "OH MY GOD! THANK GOD!!!" Such a perfect video! Romantic, sad and then just perfect! I hope this short wins many awards! How can it not with all the intense emotion in just less than 10 minutes?

There is such thing as being to shy! Take it from a shy guy like myself(I call it quiet), don't wait to tell someone you love them. What if they're shy too and love you also but are also too shy. Both of you would drift farther apart even though you're both in love. Please don't wait, just 10 seconds of courage that's all.

+Edward Severinsen whoaaa, she is totally into you!! do not be afraid to ask her out and never expect her (or any other girl) to ask YOU out, thats important. confidence is the most attractive thing, trust me. so even if you are insecure about yourself do NOT let it show. and you dont have any reasons to feel insecure anyway, since this girl clearly likes you back. so just ask her out as soon as you have the opportunity. do it when you feel like you know her enough to enjoy going out with her. talk to her for a few more days and then do it :) youre not gonna fail! ohh and how old are you? you must be 16 right? let me know what happens next!!

As a man who was shy during high school and college, I fully understand the protagonist. I'm much less shy now, but I missed opportunities in college when all I needed to do was to say a sentence or two at the write time. And even worse, I hurt women who couldn't understand why I didn't want them, merely because I couldn't explain to them how I felt. I'm glad that this was touched on a little through her diary. This was a beautiful movie that spoke to my heart.

i'll tell you one thing, there was this girl at my school. She was my friend since i was in 7th grade. Then i started liking her and maybe even more than that. But i was too shy and couldn't risk our friendship. So i waited. But after 3 years, she was gone, taken by someone else. And now i regret every moment that if i had told her everything, maybe my story would have been different. i can't find anyone like her and when i see someone else, i see her in them. So if you're shy like me, dont hesitate to say it out loud because maybe it will get better or even worse but life's eveything bout taking risks right? :)

Life is a line of possibilities. If you think you find true love in a girl, it doesn't mean she will find true love in you. In real life you have to make one move to check if it will spark a relationship if you really want it, or not. But it takes long time to know each other and there is a possibility that girl(or guy) of your dreams has awful character and many issues and habits you can't stand.

I think a lot of people in the comments might be confusing love with infatuation. Don't get me wrong, it's just that in order to love someone you need to truly know them and not just idolize them and everything good about them, you also need to recognize all their flaws. To accept a person and their imperfections is what it truly means to love. Don't get it twisted guys, love is a strong word.

I loved a girl since i was 5 and we were best friends.and when I was about 12 I had to move somewhere else.and all the time I loved her.i came back when I was 17.and since I loved her all my life I thought it's time I told her.and I did.but now I think I made a mistake.i should have waited. while I was gone she had found other friends.and she said I did a very wrong thing.she said I'm just a friend and she had a boyfriend. when this happened we were walking home.and I couldn't say a word.all that time I was speechless .it's like the whole world was collapsing in front of me. I didn't talk to her for another 3 years. I was sad and a little angry.i tried to be away from her life. but I loved her.i looked at her cecretly.and when I was 22 I had to move again.but at that time we were friends again. but not to me .to me she was more than a friend. and when I was 27 I heard she got married. now I'm 30.i still love her.and I will until die.

Shyness has effected my life since I was little. People would think I was wrong in the head or something, when I just need to get comfortable around you if you expect me to freely talk on my own. I hate when people try pressuring words out of you. It makes me feel like they're talking to a pet. But as my last year of high school is just around the corner, I need to come out of my shell or I'm not exactly sure what will happen in the future. I have a group of friends who accept my shyness when I go out in public with them. I find myself envying extroverts a lot. They make talking to strangers so easy.

That's was sad and cute but I think it shows that you need to get over your fear and do what you want or say what you want before you lose your chance because you never know if the person feels the same way unless you tell them because people can't read your mind

"Too Shy" may be a just a touching story for all of you but can you imagine that it was a real fact of life which I passed through for almost forty years. We both raised our families and met each other on family functions; just exchanged unspoken words. I at 79 have seen her put to flames with tears hidden in my eyelids. I wanted to cry and tell her soul, how dear she was to me but fear of our families. I could not even open my mouth as if my tongue was glued inside. Each day I remember you and miss those unspoken, untouched our expressions. Finally I have become only a lonely soul waiting for a final call. S.K.Sahni

Exceptional short story. This has an abundance of truth to it. Never had a real Girlfriend until I met a Lady way above My Class. Took 2 1/2 years of not pushing it but I improved My Self Confidence and Popped the Question. Well, that was over 50 years ago and My Bride and I are more in Love today than We were at the beginning. Be Well and Good Luck..

I feel like a better, not happier, ending, would have been her being confused and upset. I feel like its cliche when someone's sad story means that by doing that one thing it will lead to a good story. In my own opinion, in the end she should just want to be friends. him realizing that knowing that she doesn't feel that way, versus living life with "what if" could be the "happy ending" that way the future still leads to the same place but instead of always wondering what you missed you can make the best of what you have. He could've found someone else, gotten married, and had kids. Then if you want the happy ending, have his kid meet her kid, and they marry. But even then maybe it should be they become friends and you see the kids worrying about each other. His son would cone up to him and want to talk about overcoming his shyness because there is a girl in his class he likes. His dad asks the name and recognizes the last name. He the proceeds to tell him a story, the same story.

Thank you for the happy ending. That being said, we could benefit from falling in love with a shy person because he/she is less likely to leave us, as it would be harder for them to strike up a relationship with a new person, given their shyness.

Really nice endings. But everyone is not that much lucky. I have seen people who have gone one step forward and propose. Guess what they have got in return? Just embarrassment and feeling of being a looser. Always trust your instinct. If someone loves you, it would reflect in their body language.

I did not have enough courage to say it at all for 4 years and still never did now that she hate me I bet. Because she ignores me like everyone else she and I went to school with does.
