Thank you fir sharing your insights. On the sloyd knife, you said you would do it slightly differently now. Is there anything specific you would change?

Cheers. This is a really old video and I've since made lots of changes. Find out more on my IG or Facebook channels or on my course page boon.tv/woodsmansfinest putting it all into words would really be too much.

Hey Max! Been a while since I commented but as usual really enjoyed your presentation. Not only great information but your style, voice pitch, tone and pace make me feel that I'm listening to a good friend even tho we've never met. Don't mean to gush but I watch a lot of carving/bushcraft videos late at night since at 70+ years I sleep poorly. Listening to your excellent explanations relaxes me and provides pleasant ideas for reflection. You can teach an old dog new tricks! 😝 Many thanks from an old mountain man!

NIce restoration on the French axe. I love when some of the pitting is left un-grinded and adds character. Great video as always.

I like a flat in the middle of most handles to point the blade when I'm not needing to look at blade and V shape bottom of hammer and hand axe and fascist might be your word for the 7 sides of knife handles and Agree skinny slick knive handles all about beauty and worthless. Thanks 👍

Greetings to all from Ontario Canada. I'm looking for advice on the best handle length for spoon knives. I've got some curve/spoon knives ordered that I will be handling myself. I appreciate the advice here with regards to having an oval or octagon shape but I would like some opinions on length. Would 8 inches be too long. Two of the knives are small and 2 are larger spoon knives. Not as large as the bowl knife shown in this video. Thanks!

+Bill Astell my recommendation is going long and see if there are reasons to use the knife two handed. Then 10" is a minimum! You can always shorten them up and handling a spoon knife is a thing of 10min so don't be afraid to experiment! Hope this helped! Please share the video if you enjoyed watching. Helps me out a lot to keep these coming! Cheers

Not about you brother! You are a great support! But people gotta see the whole picture. At the end if the day, the amount of harmlessly meant comments and "constructive" criticism from all viewers adds up to be quite discouraging! I am spending countless hours sharing, pondering, planning, researching, getting new equipment and corresponding with people! I earn 15$ a month from it... and people are not even considerate enough to leave a like after obviously watching the video. So, in Thanksgiving, I'm a bit fed up with people taking this for granted! Share the word!
