Been a cabinet maker myself over 46 years using routers daily. All routers will move on occatoins making a deeper cut. Purchased this Makita 18v router my self and can't fault it unlike the many copy's of this small powerful design that at first glance look the same but can never match Makita.

I have two I use in my cabinet refacing business. They work beautifully. I also purchased the dust port for a vacuum connection (195559-1). It collects about 85-90% of the shavings making clean up much more manageable; especially in a customers house. Make sure you have extra batteries, because they do tend to drain them fairly quick. I haven't had any issues with depth wandering, but I'm just using flush trimmers and tapered bits. 9 out of 10 as well.
