Thank you! Well done. Information I needed. The US price is good at the moment. This is the best I have seen since my Stanley non-folder that tightens with a screw. An essential tool. Cheers!

I've seen you tons on Morgan's maintenance and enjoyed the comments. Mecwork 6 in 1 is a fantastic handle much smaller and just as strong holding power than that milwaukee. Another one is fiskars pro has a folding one that is good small but can develop a wobble with long term use but is supremely comfortable.

Yeah, I have been on MM for a while now, enjoy his videos. I have not heard of Mecwork before, see what I can find. We have a bit of Fiskars tools in the UK but it appears to be selective. Thanks for commenting.

great review, im looking at a saw like this for my camping/ survival kit. do you feel the blade lock mechanism is sturdy enough to hold 12" sawzall blades for cutting small timbers? Is it merely a compression fit with a thumb release or is there a pin that holds the blades in place? would you mind giving more detail on the construction of the handle. its tough to get a good idea of how durable the tool will be without physically holding it. thanks!

The handle is mostly a rubberised surface that gives you the grip. Whilst it is slightly oval shaped, you don't really get much assistance from the shape for gripping, so it gets a bit tiring for the hand when used for long periods. The blade grip appears to be from vertical jaw pressure, there is no pin that goes through the hole in the blade tang like there is on the Milwaukee Sawzall handle. The top lever that you see me pull back to release the blade is spring loaded and grips onto the top of the blade. Due to the angle it is at any action on the blade that would pull it out, puts more pressure on the lever and makes it clamp harder on the blade. It hasn't slipped on me yet, but it is still quite new. I have found some 12" wood blades so will order some to see how I get on, but will obviously be a few days.

thanks that was helpful! its a struggle to find good reliable niche tools. I've had my eye on the Lenox brand version of this for quite some time, the price is similar but I was unsure of the quality of the toolan.

I didn't much care for that one ended up returning it. Lenox has a handle that will fold sawzall blades and take a full hacksaw blade but it's medium bulky.

I tend to use this for hacksaw blades and it is okay for that, but not really the best of grips. I found the Lenox one on Amazon, so I may take a look at some point, I have a Sabrecut saw handle now that it quite good but only takes sawzall blades and is a bit bigger, but easier to grip.
