According to Manitoba's workplace safety and health legislation, working at height is a critical task, therefore extra precautions must be taken to protect workers from a fall hazard. With over 500 reported injuries in 2019 and 2020 combined, this toolbox should assist in the efforts to properly train workers to complete their tasks at height.

A good informative video. One thing that was overlooked however.... The importance of taking everything out of your pockets. Keys, tools, phones etc. These can become lodged into legs or cut vital arteries in the event of a fall.

Thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right, and that information is typically covered in detail during a work at height course. However, please note that this particular toolbox talk is designed to provide a concise overview, focusing on key legislated information that's crucial for discussion. We appreciate your understanding and your feedback.

Lanyard is a lifeline in a PFAS - confusing to say lanyard needs to be attached to a lifeline when the lanyard is the lifeline.

In Passive Fall Arrest System, you are correct. However, as there are numerous styles of lanyards such as travel restraint, self-retracting, etc., it is important to recognize the difference between a lifeline and a lanyard.
