Not just that, my cat had actually started to swallow the worm starting at the tapered end. By the time I realized what was happening, she had 4 inches of it in her throat. I got it just in time, but that could have resulted in immediate surgery or asphyxiation. No more worm toys for my cats.

What??? Here cats resorbs their teeth you can see that when they are 4 months old or less it looks like a harpoon with the end being the resorbing baby tooth. I really tought he was old old cat because they generally loose them like us of old age.

They’re also called “milk teeth,” which makes sense when you consider they start losing them once they’re transitioning to real food!

I have raised a whole bunch of kittens to toddlerhood, had no idea they also had milk teeth. I guess when they started living outside part-time, they would lose them playing with their siblings or hunting food.

My boy Mercy does that with his wormies when I get them for him when they pop up in the stores, he always manages to carry one around protectively until it's in shreds from his lil sharp teefs. I love him so much, I even got him some Christmas presents for this year 😉😁

Sometimes all you need is time. Keep in mind that Marshal is a kitten while Leela is an adult. They have completely different energy levels right now. Leela may just dislike the kitten-ish behavior. I’ve have 5 cats right now. And their relationships have shifted over the course of their lives. Two of my eldest girls hang out and groom each other almost 24/7 when, before, they weren’t terribly affectionate.

​@@KlutzyNinjaKittyWow! Your girls get along! My boys like each other okay (I have many just like you, all rescues) but the girls still want nothing to do with each other. Just in the past few years the oldest doesn't care anymore but did in the beginning, she was so violent to the other girls, she was born in 2010 (we have her littermate brother too). The other 2 were born in 2014 & 2018. These 2 were both about 6 months old when we got them. Those 2 can't be near each other still pretty much. They can see each other now at least and not go running at each other anymore, they only have problems if they cross paths going to the food/water bowls or the litter box. The oldest tries to lay next to the youngest recently but she hisses and runs away when she realizes it. The oldest don't try to get near the other 1 at all usually. The closest they get is if the 1 is in the bedroom the oldest will sit in the hallway, not waiting on her but feeling the draft that comes out from underneath the bedroom door whenever the 1 comes out of the bedroom the hallway is her spot so the oldest goes elsewhere. They still get in cat fights too every now and then. It's so frustrating because I thought time was all they needed.
