Data was gathered from 500 sold listings on eBay and Poshmark between $101 and $250 that were recently listed to determine the top 10 brands.

@@AmberResells I think I saw you in a video with two other people. At the time, you were primarily doing Facebook (I think). I was inspired, and gave Facebook a try. I was unsuccessful with sales. I still dabble with it..but with local listing of bigger items. That did not go well...never picked up selling traction. At this time, I will stick with eBay. Very Good Video!

Hi Amber, just a little FYI about Selvedge... It refers to the edge of the weave which is why its usually referred to as selvedge edge. The reason why it's more sought after is because there are very few looms that can produce it anymore and it is slower and more expensive to make. I think there are 2 or 3 looms in the US that do a selvedge edge denim anymore. You can tell it apart by looking at the seam when you roll the cuffs. Almost all production jeans have "Double Overlock Stitch" which is that typical wide spiral loop stitching on either edge of the seam. In selvedge edged jeans the edges are usually bound in white or yellow with a solid line running through it kind of like a racing stripe. The value of this type of denim was generally driven up by the Japanese market because the kids there went nuts for the American 50's style for a while and wanted to get the "Greaser" rolled cuffs look goin on and it HAD TO BE authentic selvedge edge American Jeans to do it. Then a bunch of copycats hopped on the band wagon. Hope that helps and thanks for all your helpful videos

Super helpful information. We happened upon imogene + willie about 3 years ago and sold them quickly for $100 glad to see the resale value has held steady through the years. If you find them you will know they are something good because the quality is insane on those jeans. They just feel and look expensive 🎉

i always love your videos!!! so concise and factual! i got imogene + willie in a mens thredup box once like a year or so ago and they sold for $70! great brand. interesting how much certain brands go for, cause i feel like i remember good american being sought after when they first came out, but maybe they're more in the $25-100 range now

The ones you haven't listed or have listed under $20 You need to ReList them after dropping them low, at a higher price! People are looking in price brackets for quality, not realizing they could be cheaper. It shoots it up to the top of the algorithm

The data from Sellhound for ebay includes shipping, for Poshmark it does not, so, the sold price is skewed up for eBay when looking at the Sellhound results.

Agolde is getting pretty saturated on the resale market, even the better styles. It used to be happy dance when I found it. I have done much better with Mother.
