I still love 7 Wonders Duel. Also Ark Nova and Terraforming Mars are high up the list because in my opinion the more down time that you get with more than 2 players is not worth it in opposition to the more interactions you get.

I do like Agricola: All Creatures Big & Small, but you gotta do the Big Box because it's all about those special buildings. I actually never tried Agricola because I mostly play at two and assumed that Agricola doesn't play well at two (since All Creatures Big & Small exists). My top ten 2-player games list would probably include quite a few 2-player-only games like Targi, Watergate, and Patchwork. Have you played Blitzkrieg! World War Two in 20 minutes? That's on my shelf of shame along with The Initiative, Castles of Burgundy, and Paris: La Cité de la Lumière.

Love that you seem to annually give an updated 2 player recommendation. It's great for my typical player count with just my roommate. You guys are one of my favorite channels to follow, & I rarely miss a video. It was really cool to see the Fire & Ice collaboration! 🐺

My wife and I play Cascadia, Calico, Paint the Roses, Dice Throne, and Azul at 2 Players. I just picked up Dungeons, Dice, and Danger which has also been a good time. Fort is one of my favorite games but we like it at 3 players.

Have recently gotten into the board game space. Catan was my gateway game. I am completely hooked. This community is amazing. I love seeing it bring people together. Some of our favorite 2-player games are Hanamikoji, 1 Wonders Duel, Onitama, War of the Ring, Arkahm Horror the Card Game, and, believe it or not, Fury of Dracula.

I’ve been really high on Summoner Wars 2E lately for favorite 2P. I had never played the original so this was a great jumping on point for me. Really a fantastic design. The entire Undaunted range is absolutely incredible too.

First time watching your channel - thanks for the video! My favorite 2-p game is Spirit Island, which I was surprised to see was not on either of your lists, but checks a lot of the boxes you guys were mentioning. If you haven't tried it yet, definitely get into the Spirit Island family! My favorite 2-p competitive game is probably Feast for Odin, although I do enjoy Agricola too.

Hey thanks so much for the kind words!! That’s a tough one because I definitely like some of the single set characters (Bruce Lee / deadpool) but for a set? I’d say cobble & Fog. Just has awesome characters in it!

Cool list, I have always loved two player games, and as I'm in my fifties they remain my favorite way to play games. It's a combination of the cutthroat nature, and getting inside the main of your opponent. Great stuff! I'm in agreement with you that a lot of cooperative board games are fantastic at two players.

For me, it’s been difficult to get a lot of people around for games lately (grad school), so 2p & solo games have consumed my life. I’ve been living off of some Button Shy wallet games - amazing how much they pack into small games! 🐺

We've enjoyed Fort as well and Awkward Guests! Innovation was a huge surprise for me just spamming a card or sneaking in for a backdoor win. I'm looking forward to trying Tokaido Duo as well as Decorum which I've been hearing is good at 2. Also, congrats on the feature at the F&I awards. Keep reppin our Canada proud!!🐺

What a unique list! Definitely will look into some of the games you've mentioned. Although technically a 4 player game, I loved playing Pandemic Legacy with just my partner - it was such a blast and most memorable experience. We even made a shadowbox of our finished games :) 🐺

Some of my favorite 2 player games are Seikatsu (also plays with 3 but I've mostly played at 2), Aqualin, Sobek: 2 Player, Lost Cities, Dice Throne, and The Game: Face to Face. I'm hoping to try Caesar: Seize Rome in 20 Minutes soon too. 🐺

Nice list. Obviously a lot of crossovers for a couple. I love to play with my partner Croncles of Crime, Onitama, Hive. Others I love are Star Realms, Canvas, Star Wars Armada. And off course my no. 1 game of all time by a mile Go, every week in a pub in Melbourne.

My 2 player favs have been: 1. Marvel Dice Throne 2. Jambo 3. Imperial Settlers 4. Star Realms 5. Innovation I don't play too many 2 player boardgames because most of my boardgame plays are with 3+ players

Radlands is awesome with multiple use cards. Castles of Burgundy........classic. Unmatched is fun with amazing art. Res Arcana is a great little combo generator. I'd have to throw in Memoir 44/Battlelore (whichever your preference), Targi, Land vs Sea, Santorini, & Mr. Jack.

@@FostertheMeeple I own both but prefer Battlelore more as for the theme and the way each player can set up their "troops" as they see fit. Also cards that can be played to modify attacks.
