Ive never classed Letha Weapon as a comedy. I think tropic thunder should have been number 1.

The first one was more action and less comedy, but bringing in Joe Pesci starting at #2 helped add more funny moments to the series. The Lethal Weapon series is the only one that belongs at #1. If the Beverly Hills Cop series didn't become shit in the follow up films, it would be #1.

+Victim of Lag The Beverly hills cop sequel was better than the original, and the rush hour series also deserved the first place but lethal weapon came first, so I give credit where credit is due.

I think they got it right. Great movie but not #1. I think lethal weapon was the obvious choice even though it's probably not my favourite. I actually think the rundown deserved to be in the 10. I still love the movie. The rock, SWS, Christopher Walken... So cheesy.... So awesome

The 2000s was a good decade for action-comedy. I love each of those films as a kid; Hot Fuzz, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Bad Boys II, etc.

Midnight Run should have gotten an honorable mention. Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin made a memorable mismatched team. It's a really good film with plenty of laughs, lots of great actions sequences and a slew of terrific supporting characters. It's one's of the most seriously underrated action/comedy buddy flicks I've come across.

I would've placed "True Lies" at #1 and I think it's worth noting that that film contains, at least in my opinion, the most-attractive cinematic-beauty in Jamie Lee Curtis. One notable exclusion from the list is the Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes-vessel, "Demolition Man." Some big laughs and big action in that one! Now, has anyone figured out how to us the three-seashells yet?

I've seen all of these, but not surprising, because this genre is my favorite by far. I thought maybe I'll come acrooss a new one, but thanx for posting. I only saw one at the theatre -- Beverly Hills cop & even watched SNL before Eddie Murphy joined, actually, its first year, but didn't see the first one w/George Carlin. I think I rented about 1/2 on VHS & downloaded the rest, for free.

Never mind, I personally hoped that Spy (2015) and Kingsmen (2014) should have been on the list. They are great comedy movies keeping the thrill intact from first to last. Maybe this list will be updated some time and hopefully include these 2 movies.

So many of my favourite films on this list - Tropic Thunder, Hot Fuzz, Pineapple Express and Jump Street Movies. I actually would say action-comedy is my favourite genre of movie as most of my top films are all this genre. I'm so glad WatchMojo thinks these films are awesome too!

Jackie Chan is widely known as a silent comedian in the tradition of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd, etc... You're better off picking one of his classic Hong Kong films instead of the overrated Rush Hour franchise, which are really only made for Americans.

+Deadpool Largely unknown??? China alone has over a billion people, and JC is an international superstar. He broke through in the American market w/ Rumble in the Bronx, which is a Hong Kong movie. And Drunken Master 2 is widely hailed as his finest work.

In Bruges is probably one of my favourite movies of all time. The comedy was so dark, and just so good. And Ralph Fiennes character was just so... British. I love it.

I would add Spy (starring Melissa McCarthy) into at least honorable mention. Pretty hilarious. The best part was Jason Statham. He was at his best in this movie for being typical him and the opposite of himself at the same time

Personally, I think "The Rock" was an excellent action comedy film as far as I'm concerned. Watching Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery and others in the film were really funny.

Hardly. Hot Fuzz was magnificent. I like it and all, but too much of Deadpool's comedy relies on prior knowledge and it's too self aware. Besides...did you not see the bit about no sci-fi? Comics technically fit in that genre. Crank has less appeal that the ones on this list.

+cheesehattom Deadpool didn't need any prior knowledge to be funny. And it being self aware was the best decision it made to stay true to the comics, i absolutely loved hot fuzz, but deadpool is an absolute masterpiece .

Tropic Thunder Pineapple Express 48 Hours Bad Boys True Lies Hot Fuzz Jump Street 21 Rush Hour Beverly Hills Cop Lethal Weapon Wow! All are my favorites. Even when including the franchises, Jump Street 22 is the only movie, I haven't (yet) bought on VCD, DVD and/or BD!
