Loved this! It's been a while since I've seen videos on the TCG. I loooooved Gardevoir EX back in Gen III, was just such a fun card. Even back in the days of not having many cards when I was a little kid and not being able to afford meta decks it was still fun in hodge-podge stuff.

"Strongest TCG Pokemon" 40 hp Pikachu

I remember trading for a Machamp my cousin had that could one shot non-evolved pokemon for one fighting energy. Despite its low 130 HP, it's one of the only older cards I have that I can potentially use viably today. I got my friends so many times with that champ it was great

there was a variation of a Gardevoir card that actually combos PERFECTLY with Mewtwo EX. It was part of my main deck and, played right, can devestate players!

Jirachi, Zoroark, Darkrai, Mewtwo, and Gardevoir just keep on getting insane cards!

Back in the day, all I wanted was Charizard because everyone thought he must be the strongest card at 120 HP.

Gardevoir + Claydol was the most consistent draw I can remember. There was always a way to do what you needed to with Plox.

Think this needs an update with tag team, unbroken bonds, unified minds with pikarom, reseizard, and the new twins not to mention just about any tag team can make for a rough day if you don't have that right tech in the deck

Vileplume deserves at least an honorable mention I feel, maybe for most irritating card. Almost every Vileplume printed has an annoying ability and 2 recent ones both lock down item cards from play. The upcoming Vileplume in Burning Shadows even prevents basic Pokemon from attacking!

I actually made Dark Charizard work once, with the Entei from Neo that discarded the top 5 cards of your deck and let you attach any fire energy you found. Though my favorite (most OP) card combo was Team Aqua's Walrein + Blastoise (base)

3:33 Time Hollow in the videogames to simply de-evolve the opponent's active pokemon but it only has one pp. It is treated as a status move that is affected by taunt and gets depleted if taunt was used against it and would also be the only or one of the few status moves to be affected by protect. I feel like these sorts of counters being there helps make the move not too terribly OP within the videogames. Of course, the de-evolved pokemon gets reverted back to the original state after any battle. I think even with a one-time use (or two with leppa berry) a move like this could definitely also see use in the pokemon videogames. It would be able to counter mega-evolves for pokemon that had to have been evolved at least once (most of them) as well as just simply make the opposing pokemon's moves naturally weaker. The move is still depleted but has no effect against pokemon that don't have any evolves to them, so the opponent simply switching in to like a legendary or something would also counter this move. To sum, I think Time Hollow could be very powerful and fun when also added in to the pokemon videogame. It definitely has its checks and balances, but when used by a skillful player can swing the tides of battle immensely. I'm not sure how many pokemon should actually be able to learn this move though (it could just be Jirachi but it would still be good imo).

I remember one of my best cards being a Pichu, because of an ability that it had, basically letting you draw as many basic cards into your hand as you want and let you play them for free, which included legendaries. The only catch was that so could your opponent.

Aw man, you didn't mention Gardevoir ex (Delta Species), the imprison power was amazing. One of those markers could cripple a pokemon for the duration of the game!

Makes me even happier now when I look at my collection of every almost Gardevoir card in the TCG

Glad to see Gardevoir at #1. When I used to play, I really liked my Gardevoir lv X (+gallade) deck. A little sad that Sceptile wasn't mentioned, as Wild Growth + Leaf Blast was an amazing combo, but I get that it wasn't here because nobody else seemed to play it...

Keldoe Blast is still one of my favorite decks to play even though it gets destroyed now days unless you load it with impossible amount of energys or multi turn KOs with the GX cards HP now

In the tcg online I have a deck that I use for fun that revolves around a Mewtwo ex where I build up as much energy as I can on him to steamroll my enemies but it rarely works. it's a gamble, but it's fun when I pull it off.

i really liked this video, it highlighted some of the cards that i / my friends have or the lesser-known cards that were surprisingly useful throughout the TCG, but usually, we would collect them. also, thanks to this video, i found out that both me and my friends have cards that have beaten the championship, specifically, me having the mega mewtwo Y EX card, and my friend having the mega rayquaza EX you stated in the video, but as the very shiny full art variant.

I recommend doing a special episode where session 1 champion vs session 2 champion kind of like the Red battle in gold and silver

I use Wish Jirachi from pokemon generations in one of my decks, it’s so good to get cards you need.

I feel like a video based around the 2015 season would be amazing. It’s my favorite format and has so many amazing cards with so many amazing decks. Newer formats seem to be dominated by just three decks.

I am not surprised that this wasn't in the video but I have a OP Sigilyph card with the ability safeguard which negates every effect coming from a EX card. Sigilyph also has two other abilities which I heard were really good.

Ancient Mew is actually the strongest card even though it is banned. It is the the strongest card because you can make up the moves, hp, and energy cost for it. (e.g.) This mew now has 230 hp and it can deal 200 damage for the cost of no energy

Fun fact, the term "mill" was created in the first trading card game ever created Magic: the Gathering. A card called millstone was printed and it would make your opponents put cards from the top of their library (deck) into their graveyard (discard pile) to get rid of cards in your opponent's deck, or to win by discarding all the cards in their deck.

My favorite card back then was exeggutor flip a coin for each energy attached to this Pokemon for each heads this attack does 20 damage i won so much with that attack
