Sdc is more known than you might think. Among enthusiasts it's the total package. The best parks have more to offer than just big rides/coasters. Sdc has literally everything with amazing guest service. Cedar Point is one of my favorite parks. Was my favorite park up until 2022. The rides were awesome as always, but my overall experience fell flat, especially when we compared it to our trip to King's Island the next day.

I took my first trip to Kings Island back in May and I had such an amazing time with my fiancé. Truly the best experience I’ve ever had at a theme park and an awesome lineup of coasters.

It said best theme park not amusement park. If they’re talking about theme parks then sure six flags doesn’t deserve to be on the list, but where tf are Disney and universal? They outdo all of these parks by miles in theming.

@@justinsimons5633Disney and universal aren’t really that good, both parks have so little rides and can easily be ridden either in around 7 hours, roller coasters in the morning, And rockit usually has a 45 min wait, I’ve been here 3 days and have two more. Velocicoaster and the hulk would need to be ridden in the morning where it isn’t as busy.

My personal favorite is Universal Studios Florida/Islands of Adventure, but I wonder if the reason it wasn't included is because this list is looking at American amusement parks that are not international franchises

Cedar Point will always be #1 in my heart but I’m not surprised Silver Dollar City won the list as we experienced it for the First time this Spring and it was the most beautiful theme park (outside of Disney) we’ve ever been too!! Even friendlier (and far less expensive) than Disney. Congrats to all the Winners!!

I’ve been to Hershey Park a lot. I love that place because of the chocolate, some of the roller coasters and the nostalgia it gives me.

My biggest complaint about Hershey is that it always seems so congested. Like compared to similar parks it probably gets around the same attendance, but for how many rides they have it is a relatively small park with relatively narrow walking paths not meant to handle all those people. For example, Kings Island, which also has 14 coasters, is 360 acres, while Hersheypark is only 120 acres, which is 3 times smaller.

Busch gardens Williamsburg is the most beautiful amusement park, and also has the legendary Loch Ness monster coaster, which is forty five years old, and the last roller coaster to ever have interlocking loops. It also has verbolten, an almost all indoor ride with a big surprise and it also has pantheon. It also just recently got Darkoaster, an all indoor multi-launch coaster. I definitely recommend coming here 😄🎢

Dollywood is such a fun place, i do recommend people to go whenever they can cause you wouldn’t want to miss it 🤣! some of the people that work there (e.i. train conductor) they’ll make jokes and are all practically very funny! sometimes you’ll also get a glimpse and see Dolly there herself

Mostly free park admission and old school charm. Rollercoasters are ok. Innovative for their time but now not the best compared to everything else. Haunted House is overrated imo. Carousel and bumper cars are legit the best in the world though. Especially bumper cars. Food is definitely cheap for theme park food but honestly the quality is not wholly better than others. It baffles me that it won so many awards. It has that charm of being an old school amusement park which is nice. I have been a visitor there since I was like 4.

Been to cedar point and silver dollar city this year. They both have their strengths. SDC has a couple of really unique coasters and the scenery is excellent. CP has world class coasters. Can’t wait for Top Thrill 2 to open.

Ive been to 4 theme parks on this list and thise 4 parks in order are Silver Dollar City, Kings Island, Cedar Point, Kennywood. I can't wait to go back to Cedar Point and Kings Island.

I go to Silver Dollar City every fall and it’s always fun. They are a growing entity that actually listens to what people want. After they finish the new RMC Fire in the Hole, I hope they make a dive coaster or something as they have a ton of space for another coaster that could use the landscape to its advantage.

Omg... i literally go to SDC multiple time evey year and i love it WAY too much. The fact it made first is wild. (Ride all the 5 roller coasters in the dark when ypu get a chance to go there. U wont regret it)

I don't know who compiled the list, but back in the day Knoebels was always considered the 2nd best Amusement park, but #1 in friendliness. Was also voted Park with the best pizza, I haven't been following the trades like I did when I worked in the industry, but it seems the same parks are making the list still, although Dollywood dropped a few places, it used to be in the top 5.

Because Six Flags are all budget parks and not the best in terms of maintenance and rides, sure their fun and affordable but when compared to places like Sea World and Hershey Park they aren't even comparable.

I think silver dollar city definitely deserves the top spot. I’ve been many times and it’s absolutely incredible. The rides are amazing and there’s so many things to do and delicious food. Definitely worth a visit!
