I remember just starting Snap and Galactus dropped from X-mansion before he officially released. I guess my opponent had never seen him either, and we both emoted for a few minutes after he blew up everything. Crazy moment for a new player to witness.

A fun interaction I've been playing a lot of on account of all the destroy going around is playing Mobius into White Queen. The amount of Deaths I've copied because Mobius set her to 8, but mine was free by the end of the game is hilarious. I've copied Raft cards and She-Hulks, too. It's been a ton of fun.

I unlocked Shuri and Red Skull back to back before I was series 3 complete and I always thought it was intentional. They gave me the archetype and I ran it with Zola until I pulled Task Master weeks later. If it’s not intentional, it needs to be. There is nothing worse than being a card short for every archetype and if they want people to stick around and progress, they need to ensure they’re giving them some working tools. Bottom line, the longer it takes to unlock a competitive deck, the more opportunities there are for that player to leave.

My problem with Annihilus is that you're exactly right. His power *is* Sentry. Not the Junk archetype. Not its supporting cards in the Goblins, Debrii and I doubt even Selene. And what happens here is you get these "packages" of power cards/combos that you choose two of... To plug, play and create any deck with your choice of tech. That being WWBN, Annihlus, Alioth, Darkhawk and Loki. The WWBN Bounce package and the Annihlus package is top tier competitive deck unto itself. As is WWBN Bounce and Loki. As is Annihlus and Darkhawk. Annihlus and Alioth. Darkhawk and Alioth. WWBN and Annihlus. This is so far removed from choosing a card like Galactus, Thanos, Apocalypse, Knull, Hela, High Evolutionary, Mr. Negative etc and building a decklist around these cards and their effects. Many of these are falling out of the meta *because* they have too much of an identity, too many supporting cards behind one or two of their win conditions, that these merged decks of two packages that shouldn't really synergize together but are powerful enough not to care just don't.

Mailbag : What do you think about the idea of having .5 power in cards in terms of release/nerfs/buff? Example = the nerfing of Angela from +2 to +1 ability literally killed the card, but if they met her in the middle aka 1.5 power for her ability? The only thing I can think about is this could mame Cerebo decks wonky?

Hela fits so many different types of discard decks, but all of them need her for maximum value, Ghost Rider fits in my deck, too with Black Knight.

MAILBAG: What are your thoughts on nurverse closing down due to Snap not being a commercial hit? Will SD suffer from losing them as a publisher?

I had 1 Spotlight Cache key. My first. Pulled Loki. 10/10 would recommend. That said, the problem for new players is much deeper. The nature of power creep in Snap means new players must go through the old cards first - cards that are more and more irrelevant as time goes by. Eventually using their scant credits and keys chasing more and more key cards that are less and less common.

My brother and I play Marvel Champions regularly! I have a handful of the expansion campaigns and characters. Such a great time! Dice Throne is also excellent, and I contributed to the X-Men Kickstarter as well! Definitely check out the initial Dice Throne characters as well!

I used 4 Keys getting Annihilus. I got the 2 Variants of Daken and X32, and base Hit Monkey. It would be nice if they tilted so getting the week's card if you own the other cards.

Thank you for touching on the Ms. Marvel potential power creep in the previous Snap Chat episode. That a card is powerful should not weigh on your conscience, because it is the game designers who are responsible for how a card is released in the game. Kudos for being the moral heart of Snap Chat.

I’m liking storm a lot with the anihi-sentry package. I would think that people of anticipate the play with turn 3 right storm but I’m catching a lot players off guard.

Mailbag : how do you guys think they will go about making a 2v2 mode (if it’s even possible)? I have thought about it a lot and can’t wrap my head around it. Shared or separate hands? 5 locations or increased card capacity? I can’t even picture how it would look

Absolutely love using Annihilus, I use the Goblins and the Hazmat&Absorbing man combo along with using Ghost who was underrated but helps out a lot to make sure Annihilus gets the best out of his ability. Villain cards like Annihilus, Knull, Galactus, Thanos, High Evolutionary have fun decks to play with.

As a discard player, my backup plan for when Hela is discarded is to continue powering up my Morb, Swarm and Apocalypse as I would otherwise, because i more often win with those than my Hela

I may eat my words, but I could see Martyr having their time to shine when Firestar comes out. A 1-4 you can play on turn 5 that becomes a 1-7 possibly even a 1-9 on turn 6 is pretty nutty. Maybe we see some sort of wacky Firestar/Tribunal deck

@@RipVanWonka well Firestar got pulled from the schedule so she may not be released in the state we’ve seen thus far, but the thing is you can play both Firestar and Hawkeye because you’re looking to play as many things as possible on T5. Mysterio is another good play

MAILBAG: I love watching both of you guys stream on twitch, I feel its both entertaining / informational to watch. I also understand Cozy being more limited on streaming time with life and all, but with that being said would either of you guys ever consider streaming another game every once in a while like once every two weeks or so to change it up, maybe something like Terraria for Alex lol. I feel each of your community would enjoy seeing you guys have fun with more games overall.

Hi Alex. I'm a programmer, I spend all day in front of a screen, I know exactly what you're going through. 2 years ago I bought a kaleido 2 color eink tablet , it is amazing, the eye relief is noticeable on electronic ink screens, now I am a lover of that type of screen. In the last 2 years, technology has advanced and now there are better kaleido 3 eink screens and in the future there will be far better screens. The game monitor obviously cannot be changed, but i recommend try some eink screen, you will notice. The eink monitors are still a little expensive, so i'm wating to chage it. There are also other alternatives such as the eazyeye monitor, the technology is still in its first steps but it is interesting. Cheer up! We have to take care of our eyes.

I commented once but can't find it to edit it :/ I see Annihilus as falling into an almost Legion slot. He's good stats on his own but is a nice follow-up to ruin an opponents play. You can use Legion to mess up an opponents Storm or Magik play as well as utilize locations to activate a 2nd and 3rd time. Annihilus is a way to counter toxic decks, junk decks, and Galactus decks as well as throw a Ninja on their end or rocks placed on your side. Except where Legion has a more common use case as long as theres 1 good location to use it; Annihilus can also act as an meta deck enabler similarly to MODOK that greatly enhances an archetype where Legion doesn't really have one.

As requested by the incredibly urbane Mr Coccia...😎 Which card/character has, in your opinion, the best logo/name-plate? Not as straightforward as you might think...some are actually kinda boring...(High Evo, Agent Coulson, Blade). I like The Infinaut, Beast and Nebula. Thanks guys. This gave me an idea for a small batch deck, with a mix of strong archetypes that only need 3 or 4 cards to work (eg hawk, rock & korg). Trying out Evo, Hawk and Annihilus (+ Jeff, Legion & Nico) right now and it's doing OK. Only a few games in though.

Mailbag: Without spending a lot of money, many players can reliably get 1-2 spotlight caches each month. Looking at December and January, if you could only open 1 or 2 caches across both months, knowing what you know now from data mining, what would you plan to open? I'm looking at Blob and Selene in December and Caiera, Grand Master, and Beta Ray Bill in January, but that is 1-2 caches too many.

Guys, Loki is the number 1 archetype defining card and it’s not close. Shuri is 2. Modok is 3. Evo is 4. Thanos is 5. Every other type of deck can be played without their “key” cards, but these cards’ decks cannot effectively function without them. Darkhawk is just a very good card. There is no “archetype” there. Alex, your glasses are awesome!

That 49% wr with Annihilus decks must be due to people not being familiar with the Sentry playstyle. I've made it to infinite with Sentry decks multiple times, even my first time. I was messing around with a few competitive decks and was hovering around 83-85 for a while but as doon as Annihilus dropped, i jumped straight to 95 and got to infinite the next day or two. Love this card. I normally like playing my own homebrew decks or taking inspiration from others but, most recently, ive been enjoying Cozy's "toxic" junk deck. Its fantastic and super fun

Mailbag: I personally think Angel is the worst card in the game. At least a Quicksilver/Uatu/Crossbones etc reliably does their job, even if that job is not great. A couple ideas: Rework 1: “When one of your cards would be destroyed, return Angel and that card to your hand.” Rework 2: “When this is destroyed, replace it with Archangel and destroy the card that destroyed Angel.” (Archangel same stats)

Yeah maybe I interpreted the question differently, but when I hear top 10 archetype defining cards, I'm looking for the ones that most define their archetypes. For me that's cerebro and patriot at the top, they are literally the names of those decks. The fact that cerebro gets left off entirely is just a massive shame.

@@mariandumitru4469 I am f2p player who doesn't spend collectors tokens and completes all missions. I didn't own 18 cards at the end of june, I don't own 18 cards now. I have been lucky with reserves, only 2-3 times I didn't get new card. If this was Second Diner's intention, they are spot on with my example.

As a free to play player who started in February of this year , no you cannot earn 4 collector keys in time to guarantee the new spotlight, i average 2 maybe 3 keys depends

@@dillionmcgregor8845this is true but you dont need to average 4 keys to get all the new cards sometimes (even most of the time) you aren’t going to have to spend all 4 keys to get just the new card. I agree that it will be difficult to get all of the new cards especially with more cards coming out starting next season but over the last couple of months ive been able to get most of the new cards i think i might have missed one, although i could have just been lucky.

Ive gone from top 100k infinite to top 8k infinite with a homebrewn annihilus/darkhawk/giganto deck and I'm still climbing. I'm not impartial enough to say whether or not annihilus needs a nerf, but i can definigely sau that it's a great card

MAILBAG: Scarlet Witch Buff: Hey Snapchatters! Scarlet Witch is one of the strongest characters in Marvel Period. What if she got a buff where the player could choose the location that got transformed? Maybe a random generator of 3 choices happens and we get to pick..or maybe a mini Legion effect and we change the location to one of the other 2 on the board. Let me know what you think. Instead of replay, I'd like to see an auto record system. Let the game auto record in the background and only let us choose to save the recording after the end of the match. From options menu we can choose whether to auto record 1 final turn / 2 final turns / 1 whole match. And if we don't choose to save the recording will overwrite when we start the next match. This way we can easily share a match highlight.

Mailbag: Why can't patch notes release a week early? The patch notes can't change due to App Store approval process. Why withhold the information? I though SD was going to give players more infomation about spotlights and other things yet we do work with data mines.

Could we please, please, please get a trade in system? It is technically a CCG. I fully understand not being able to trade other players cards and such. But being able to trade in dupe cards and such for maybe some credits or somethin would be nice.

Alex and Cozy just forgetting about the kickstarter marvel board games is a gem. Lol marvel united and marvel champions are the 2 top marvel boardgames right now. Thee most played two, third being marvel dice throne which is the one alex mentioned xmen dice, its marvel dice throne but xmen series which just finished kickstarter lol

This bothers me so much for no reason. But they almost had it right a couple weeks ago talking about how kitty isn’t actually a 1 cost, 10 power at her best because you’ve given energy every turn for her. Same thing should apply here with sentry. He isn’t a 4 cost 20 power card. Him and annihilus together are a 9 cost 27 power combo that require drawing both of them in the same game Sentry alone isn’t 4 20, at his best he can be played as a 4 10, with right lane locked down, but him alone is never 4 20
