Actually, Storm Giants in D&D are Chaotic Good, Stone Giants are Neutral, Cloud Giants are generally Neutral Good or Neutral Evil, Frost Giants are Neutral Evil, Fire Giants are Lawful Evil, Hill Giants are Chaotic Evil. So yeah, MOST of the Giants are evil, but not all of them. /IamaNerd

The greatest "loveable" Disney villains for me has always been the Lion king John and his snake sidekick from Robinhood and its primarily down to the performances of Peter Eustanoff and Terry Thomas, hilarious, god help us if they ever decide to do a live action remake of that.

Tyrants of the Underdark and Cthulhu Wars would be 2 that weren't mentioned that I'd have on my list.

Lords of Waterdeep is my favourite villain game which you play a faction leader that rules the city behind the curtains and does lots of shady things for his/her benefit. My second favourite is probably Chaos in the Old World which you play as a chaos god and your only purpose is to kill and corrupt everything in your path. Also Android: Netrunner is a good one which one side plays a big brother style mega corporation.

I would have picked 13 Dead End Drive. A group of people all trying to steal an dead old lady's money and kill each other in the process before the cops arrive. That's messed up. Great game!

Know it's not really your fashion but you should do a top 10 games that allow you to be super cut throat/ruthless and you are the "bad guy" depending on how cut throat you play.

I was expecting Village Attacks to make an appearance: I've never played but the premise is so tasty! I hate playing the traitor in Betrayal at House on the Hill - the scenarios have been weighted too much in favour of the heroes (so far).

For what it's worth, viruses are not "animals". But, I agree with Tom's pick of a virus being a bad guy. And Sam's absurd thing about playing poorly so the bad thing loses obviously applies to ANY case of playing a bad guy! Lol. Great stuff.

I nearly always enjoy being the bad guy in games, Middle Earth Quest, Fury of Dracula, The Others etc., love being the bad guy in all of them. I really want to try either Conan or Batman, but I'm too poor, the mechanics of the bad guy side of those games look amazing.

Vidication is a game about bad guys who are doing good things. So Vindication is not eligible for this list?

Historically speaking, Vikings were not bad compared to the other cultures of the time. By and large they were domestic, family oriented farmers. When they did invade and conquer, they usually allowed the people they invaded to keep their culture and integrated into their society. Compare this to Charlemagne who forced people to convert or face death or the Normans who strictly oppressed the people that they conquered. If you were alive in Europe around 700-1000 CE , you’d most likely want to be living under Viking rule.

For being the bad guy in a game does it really matter if the side you represent hast a choice in real life to be bad or good? If I represent the virus in a game I feel being the bad guy even if a virus per se can't be bad willingly but has to. At least that's how I see the case...

I guess it's not really any of your type of game, but the first ones I thought of were the euros and economic games where you're playing slave-holding plantation owners (Puerto Rico) colonizers (Mombasa) or gilded age robber-barons (18xx, Arkwright, Brass). I mean, how many children do you think have died in my cotton mills by the end of one game of Brass? I guess it's not as in your face as playing a demon, but it's clear what's going on. To me that human level villainy seems in a way worse to me because it's more real. A demon is sort of like an animal in the way that it just behaves the way that it's nature dictates. But we generally think humans have free will to choose how to behave. And anyway if Sheriff of Nottingham counts than a lot of these examples are like that but on a significantly larger scale. And a lot of these are my favorite types of games; my list would be mostly games from that perspective.

Mine in no particular order: The Others: 7 Sins, Tyrants of the Underdark, Chaos in the Old World, Cthulhu Wars, Kingsport Festival, The Godfather, Sons of Anarchy, Letters from Whitechapel, Fury of Dracula, War of the Ring 2E.
