Ok so I made a minor error: The size boost from the "Lucky" passive trait is removed when it's bred down, just like the size boost from a pal being an alpha. That being said, I still would keep the same traits for the pals I said, because 15% work speed boost vs 30% normal movement speed isn't worth it for gathering and transporting

You don't need to fly away from the wildlife sanctuaries... Just make a circuit across, up the ramp, across the top there, and back down. They'll reset, and the top area has its own spawns. MUCH easier, faster and more interesting.

I hope you guys enjoy, this is the best prediction I could make with the limited information given about the upcoming update, but whether or not the Pal Monitoring Stand works exactly how I expect or not, this list does still cover the best base pals in the game. I have so many plans for when the new update drops, I hope you're all excited!

I would think the movement boost for gathering would be negated by keeping your plantations together or even better by stacking them as long as that bug exists.

Breeding lucky does not come with size increase. They will be small(normal)

Pretty sure lucky is the same as alpha. Once it's bread, even if it passes lucky down, it doesn't retain the same size as the lucky you caught. Now, I haven't really payed enough attention to see if it's in between caught lucky size and regular pal size or not, but def smaller than caught lucky.

Just a tip. Blazehowl is better then jormuntide ignis, not only is it easier to get an artisan, work slave, serious and lucky one. Its just way faster than jormuntide ignis. I havent even gotten it maxed out in the pal essence thing. I just have a lvl 3 kindling, maxed out workspeed from the anubis statue. Its easier to max out in the pal essense thing. I definitely recommend blazehowl instead of jormuntide ignis. Same with felbat instead of bellanoir. Use the exact same traits that you have on blazehowl with max workspeed. It takes around 12 to 20 hours of straight grinding to try and get a perfect bellanoir while it normally takes around 4 hours to get a fully maxed, perfect felbat. Its easier to get a maxed out blazehowl and felbat. So if you are max level and cant be bothered to grind for a long time, just use blazehowl and felbat for kindling and medicine production.

The transporting level is pretty useless right now from what i can tell...pals still only pick up one item, so best thing you can do is use pals with speed and dont get stuck as easily, so anubis and ragnahawk or helzephyr. Iirc, attack matters as well as work speed for mining and lumbering. So i believe the optimal setting for a miner like astagon would be artisan, lucky, serious, legend. Currently working on one right now and gonna test it against the full work speed version

Prefering Ragnahawks over Wumpos since they carry everything at such a high speed and are also useful for cooking large quantities. They do move pretty fast all around. Having the food boxes right in the middle of your plantations or under your ranch stacks does reduce carry time as well. I do have all base pals at 4 stars now and that lets you pick the pals for whatever looks and sounds you prefer (no uglies, monsters etc) with a top notch production. Elphidran Aqua is another one I like and will use a lot more with the update to the monitor stand (watering 3, wood cutting 2) Breeding pals with Lucky does not make them bigger, that's just the "alpha sized" pals you can catch in the world.

In case of cooling I think Vanwyrm cryst will still be better, because it works during the night

quick note on the mining pals section; astegon IS the best work station miner (ore mining site and stone pit etc) but if you're main base has other minable things like ore nodes, coal nodes, sulphur nodes etc, then digtoise is by far more efficient than astegon because digtoise can remove those nodes in a few spins but astegon cannot, which drags down astegon's work station mining efficiency significantly when compared to digtoise

I'd just like to add a little bit of info I've stumbled into that might help. If you can't get lucky on your base pals for some reason, you can substitute it with conceited which gives 10% work speed instead of 15 like lucky does so you still get more work speed and it's only 5% less than lucky. It can depend on what type of work suitability you're using them for as to whether conceited or something like workaholic would be better. Some work types seem to drain sanity a lot more than others. Like kindling and electricity seem to drain sanity a lot faster than other work types so you might choose workaholic for those pals rather than conceited. Another trick I learned by accident is you can put those pals in your party if you're hanging around the base anyway and then their sanity will never drop while doing base chores for you if they're in your party. I'm not sure if that's a bug or working as intended but it's a great trick to keep a pal working on kindling or electricity charging without them constantly stopping to take a rest.

you should do a bare minimum for a base and each pal etc. That would be very useful

Collect fire eggs around Fisherman Village will get good pals. Especially large or huge eggs. Hatch at 100% for better passives.

I have 1 base purely for farming food with 8 lyleens with (artisan,serious,workaholic, and work slave) 2 lyleens with (artisan,serious,conceited, and work slave) 7 jourmentides with (artisan,serious,workaholic, and workslave) and 3 vanwyrm crysts with (swift,runner,legend, and nimble) if I let my game afk for bed time when I wake up I have like 30k wheat, 20k berries, 10k lettuce and 10k tomatoes with only 12 wheat, farms 3 berries, 6 tomato farms, and 6 lettuce farms.

digtoise is still the best at mining, ever since the last update his damage scales incredibly high the better its work speed. By default a normal digtoise is better than most pals with no effort.

Hey you mentioned that digtoise is obsolete. What's the changes done with digtoise? It was buffed a lot at 1.5.0, so what's new? Except thats he is kinda broken at a mining camp.

Pathing is so bad still they keep blocking each other,or getting stuck everyone possible,honestly I dont see any diff after update,if pal can do more then one job he will do each of it for few secs...Its a bit annoying that even when I asign pal he still will do something else in few secs

Wanwyrm cryst is the best cooler (but honestly anyone who uses cooling is a fool. its a waste of a slot). The reason is one simple thing: ITS THE ONLY NOCTURNAL ICE PAL. No other pal works 24/7 with that ability. Its no contest. I have to imagine you dont know how gathering works because you didn't mention its most beneficial perk: Each level of gathering increases the crop yield by 5+. At level 5 a plantation will drop 30 of that crop. Even better is that the buff will last as long as the game is not turned off. All that is required is for the highest gathering level pal to have touched the plantation ONCE. Harvesting speed is not the true benefit of gathering, its the quantity of the items produced. You werent wrong about Frost-noct being the best but you completely undersold how good it is when maxed out (i dont blame you though, the its not a widely known fact) Also when is medicine ever needed? I've never had to craft medicine after the first few hours of playing, and all the ones i need i get from loot. Just how bad is your base to need so much medicine?

What update? The one they keep talking about, saying it's coming? Man fuck this company and game. Drip feeding updates and no content. Last update was in February. New raid boss is a reskin of existing pal 😂
