I’ve actually expected the Asics Nova Surge low to be on this list, but not that high to be honest. I haven’t tried them but I think they would deserve it. Happy to not only see brand like Nike, Jordan, Puma,… in some videos. A very good list imo.

I definitely agree with you, tried playing in Jordan 36, Jordan Zion 1, Jordan Why Not 0.5... but they all lost to Nova Surge 2 low for me... The comfort and impact protection is unbeatable! I'm partial to the Curry 10. Flow is a polarizing technology, since it tends to be on the firmer side, but it works for me. The Curry 10 and really every Curry since the 8 has been more of a running/court shoe hybrid, which is the primary reason I like them.

Will you be reviewing the Kobe 8 Protro? Still my personal favorite hoop shoe of all time. Its been over a decade since I’ve worn them, but I’ll never forget the way they felt on court. Apparently they replaced the lunarlon drop in midsole with React. Keep up the work Tommy!

Definitely agree on the Son of Flash. Whether you play indoors or outdoors, it doesn't matter it really performs well and it's durable too

Nova surge is definitely a better all round option but I think the Liren’s would also be best since the materials are light and breathable for outdoors regular pick up games. Does the liren have enough cushion on the forefoot area cuz I’m rehabbing* from feet injury Thank you

Great vid as always! cause of your review i just got the nova surge low, especially for a discounted price around 85 bucks, haven’t tried playing in them i hope it’s an unbelievable steal. Got a question tho, if you had the option between them for 85 bucks, 808 2 for 85 bucks, or court rider 2.0 for 65 bucks would you still get the nova or choose the other option? I had them option but concerned about the impact protection of the 808 2 and the cushion+traction of the court rider.. keep them great reviews coming!

solid list 👍🏼. i’m excited for adidas basketball lineup. also disappointed in the KD16. they removed the full zoom strobel and added zoom forefoot bag with air strobel in the heel. why?! 😅

I finally tried the Two WXY V3 and V4s. The traction is way better on V3 with suction cup design but the cushion is way better on V4s especially heel area. Also the arch support is higher on V4s so not comfy for flat footers like myself. V3 with better cushion would have been ideal. Overall for my feet these sadly arent better than my KD14s. Need to check out WOW 10s

Have you gotten the chance to try some of the retro Currys? I've been eyeing the Curry 2 Retro because I love how they look and they aren't a Flow outsole (I'm worried about dusty courts).. It's just a little different from the shoes I usually wear because I tend to wear only low-tops.

Right honestly I’ve been used to low tops too given what most brands are offering these days. I do have the Curry 1 retro but not the 2 retro, they’re like okay - I wouldn’t take them over a Flotro or modern performance model though.

I think it’s a great shoe for centers. If you prioritize cushion & bounce, no other shoe beats it this year in my opinion.

@@noobnoob117 Umm yeah I think the Harden Vol. 7 is a firm Top 3, or at least Top 5 so far. Comfy, supportive, great traction and everything. Why Not .6 is really close to being up there! Great shoe to me, Tatum 1 just has those downsides like I said that really limit its overall rank objectively.

🙏 Thank you! From Nike the Son of Flash reminds me a little bit of the Cosmic Unity 2 but easier fit, also from within the brand the Fission 8 and WOW 10 have a similar fit.

Didn't you do a video suggesting the LB XX was better than the NXXT Gen earlier this year? Could be misremembering....apologies if so. Also, is there a huge difference between the low and the regular ASICS Nova Surge 2 (or is it just that you prefer lows?)

Yeah LeBron 20 > NXXT Gen to me, LeBron 20 was a Top 10 last year (since it was released in 2022). Sorry for the confusion, but these are shoes released this year in 2023. Nova Surge low you’re right just the low cut basically 😃

do you know if lebron 20s fit different depending on colorways or material copped a new pair of 20s and they fit bigger than my other 20s

I’ve heard some people say that pairs made in Vietnam tend to run small compared to pairs made in China. But from my personal experience, I went TTS in the South Beast (pink), Debut (white) and All Star colorways and that’ll be the safe choice. The Debut colorway with the knit upper, I think you can also go half a size up. Do try them on in person if you can to be safe, but when in doubt I’d go true to size. 😃

@@TommyLiu4yeah the 2 pairs of 20s i already had were both made in vietnam size 10 and i just coped the message in the bottles which r made in china size 10 n they run way bigger gonna have to return for a size 9.5

Have you tried Puma Stewie 2, I know it is a women shoes but they feel so similar to Puma Clyde All-Pro so I got myself a pair and they don’t disappoint.
