Great list! I would have put Love and Monsters in my top 10...but you pretty much nailed everything! An absolutely great year for 4K! Can't wait to see what next year holds for us! Happy Holidays buddy!! :)

No hope because different company own the first seasons and another the last seasons... Pity, I would like to see them, but allmost zero chance to see this at 4K. Lets hope to get the last seasons at blu -ray. Maybe even that is far shot.

1. King Kong vs Godzilla, 2. Howard the Duck (used to by my favorite movie as a kid plus it looks unreasonably good), 3. Monster Hunter (the visuals surprised me and it's a fun movie, The Thing (I've been wanting the movie in 4k forever), and Terminator 2 (it has the best god-damned packaging I've ever seen)!

i have lots of 1080p blurays discs i use it on ps4 silm but i will be gettin ultra 4k hd discs in 2022 the company i be using for 4k discs is Lg player with the samsung 4k tv

Well done. Good list. It's hard to make these lists. But your list is sound. The other guy Films at home had the most disastrous top 10 list this year. He had 10 commandments near the top. I dunno what the guy is smoking.

10 commandments was easily a top 10 catalog 4k release. The colours were amazing as well as the audio, Adam also had it listed high on his top 10 catalog releases. It is a must have for collectors of 4k movies

@@shaneducholke364 i own every 4k blu ray on all these lists including 10 commandments. I also own high end tv sets. It was NOT a top ten release. It was very soft.

@@ScruffyWarlord I have seen it on multiple top 10 lists this year and every review rates it extremely high, so you may be in the minority on that one. That's why top 10 lists are subjective. The biggest thing on a catalog release is how much the improvement is over the original and 10 Commandments has one of the most significant improvements from original, not just for the year, but of all time.

Top 10s are subjective. Equipment is important and everyone can like different things. For example I've heard Willy Wonka get rave reviews while I've heard others say it almost too clean for the time period. I think that's always the risk with restoring older titles.

@@dslking I agree with restoring older titles, I still like to see some film grain. Personally I like a little film grain in most movies to match what the director is trying to do and the era it is shot in, for examples all World War movies should have some grain to keep it authentic.

Suicide squad is pretty close to reference IMO. Bond was a little too soft and could be a little lower on the list. Happy holidays!

I loved the green knight and don't understand all the hate for it. I bought it when it was on sale for 10 bucks a few weeks ago. Waiting for my Dolby vision player to show up before watching it on 4k. I'm excited!

I feel like the suicide squad should have been higher haha. First movie I watched all the way through on my long awaited atmos setup. Justice league not in top 5?! Green knight beat it?! I’m hating this list… haha…

Honourable Mentions: Old News of the World Candyman 2021 Maybe not a lot happening in those for audio quality but picture is right up there with some of the best releases. Great list though.

Good list, you left out the forever purge and Candyman. These are 2 of the cleanest picture and best sounding 4k blurays that I watched this year. Candyman in my opinion has d best Atmos sound mix of the year. It is atmospheric and unsettling. Candyman is my pick for best 4k blu-ray of the year.
