"Close My Eyes Forever" is a duet by Lita Ford with Ozzy Osbourne from Ford's 1988 album Lita and later remixed and released as a single titled "Close My Eyes Forever (remix)" in 1989, with the single only differing from the album version in sound quality editing. The song was written by Ford and Osbourne as the result of an accident in the studio during which they both drank heavily and inadvertently wrote the lyrics to the song together.
"Not Strong Enough" is a song by Finnish rock band Apocalyptica. The song is the third single from their seventh studio album 7th Symphony. The song features Brent Smith of Shinedown on lead vocals.
"Gimme Shelter" is the opening track to the 1969 album Let It Bleed by the Rolling Stones. Greil Marcus, writing in Rolling Stone magazine at the time of its release, praised the song, stating that the band has "never done anything better". Stone Sour covered the song on their EP Straight Outta Burbank... with female vocals performed by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm.
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1968 double album The Beatles (also known as "the White Album"). It was written by George Harrison, the band's lead guitarist. The song serves as a comment on the disharmony within the Beatles following their return from studying Transcendental Meditation in India in early 1968.
"Bring the Noise" is a song by the American hip hop group Public Enemy. It was included on the soundtrack of the 1987 film Less Than Zero and was also released as a single that year. In 1991, Public Enemy recorded a new version of "Bring the Noise" in a collaboration with the thrash metal band Anthrax.
"Feel Good Inc." is a song by British virtual band Gorillaz, featuring American hip-hop group De La Soul. The song was released as the lead single from the band's second studio album Demon Days on 9 May 2005.
"Walk This Way" is a song by the American hard rock band Aerosmith. Written by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, the song was originally released as the second single from the album Toys in the Attic (1975).
"Under Pressure" is a song by the British rock band Queen and singer David Bowie. Originally released as a single in October 1981, it was later included on Queen's 1982 album Hot Space.

Yeah, that one is gold! Apocalyptica has so many great songs with so many different singers. 'Bittersweet' featuring Lauri Ylönen (The Rasmus) and Ville Vallo (HIM). 'I Don't Care' feautiring Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace). Or 'Helden' featuring Till Lindemann (Rammstein).

Somebody mentioned Broken by Seether and Amy Lee and it is exceptional and better than the original version. A Tout Le Monde with Cristina Scabbia joining Megadeth is also better than the original. It made me learn to aporeciate that song.

Okay, I WAS gonna gripe about "Walk This Way" only getting the #2 slot, but then I saw what was #1. And... yeah, I totally get it. The best performer ever teaming with the best band ever to record one of the best SONGS ever. I should never have doubted it.

I still think Carlos Santa's cover of "White my guitar gently weeps" is my favorite rendition of the song. There's just something about the way that man makes a guitar cry that just can move a person.

I was thinking of a couple collaborative songs I like and realized they probably don't really qualify as rock or outright don't, but you may want to check them out anyhow: • "Drift Away" by Uncle Kracker with the original singer Dobie Gray • "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" by Meat Load and Marion Raven • "Where the Lost Ones Go" by Sissel and Espen Lind • "Bang A Drum" by Chris LeDoux and Jon Bon Jovi • "Wake Me Up" by Avicii and Aloe Blacc

Jackyl's "locked and loaded" with Brian Johnson, in fact I can't think of another collaboration Johnson was ever involved with. You can't count Geordie because that was his original band before joining AC/DC. Jackyl also did a collaboration with Darryl McDaniels of run dmc called "just like a negro" which lead to some controversy but if you actually read the lyrics there is nothing controversial about it.

Apocolyptica Ft. Adam Gontier "I Don't Care" I know you picked the one with Brent Smith, but this one just hit closer to home. It was how I felt towards both my parents in the late 2000's. "If you're dead or still alive, I don't care" was exactly how I cared about them both. I knew my Mom was eventually going to die because I knew she'd screw up and OD or something, I was right. My Mom died in 2008, my dad nearly died a week later from heart failure. I didn't even visit him in the hospital because I deemed him not worth my time and an argument would just happen. While my brother drove him to the hospital, I went back to bed. At the time, I was so mad and messed up back in 2008.years later we reconciled and get along better than we ever did. I can actually talk to him.
