I like the Malmer’s versatility, plus it is relatively light compared to say the Tsurugi, probably others. It’s tempting to keep using it even though I’m trying to branch out with more pistol and shotgun hunting lol

7mm is my favourite for class 4-9/8. 22-250 is my favourite 2-4. 22h is my favourite class 1. 300 is my favourite for class 7-9. Favourite shotgun is cacciatore 12g. Favourite handgun is 243 handgun. Favourite bow is the crossbow. Bonus favourite class 3 rifle is the moradi. Awesome vid btw

One MINOR thing about the Moradi Model 1894 from the Ambusher pack. It uses .44 Magnum, which is a pistol round. If you're a new player like me, and you were looking forward to using it, the .44 Flat Nose Hard-Cast bullets(the ones with the HIGH penetration) are locked behind 2500 Handgun score. A bit disappointing. But overall, not terrible in the long run

I am in the middle of grinding in-game cash for the 300, can't wait! I have to say, DLC Weapons rule! I've been using the zarza 308 a ton tho, its a very good one.

I think weapon pack 1 is very underrated. Almost all other DLC weapons are just slight upgrades of what is available in base game. The 22LR and especially the crossbow enable completely new playstyles. The crossbow allows you to enjoy all the benefits of using a bow without investing ANY points in the archery skills. No other pack has a crossbow. The 22LR also very useful. The only weapons to take down class 1 animals in base game are shotguns, so being able to take something out at double the range with extreme precision is a complete game changer. The list in the video seems to heavily favour weapons suitable for downing as many big animals as possible in a given amount of time rather than unique weapons that open up new approaches to hunting. I don’t disagree with the modern weapons pack being in first place because most players won’t touch anything other than a rifle and this is a good pack for them, but weapon pack 1 should be a close second.

So far my favorite rifle is the 200 m musket rifle. I forget what its name is actually called but I love this thing. Yes it's reload speed is the worst out of all the rifles but I feel like having good range makes up for it. I do like the Tactical Rifle because fires so quickly it almost pinpoint accuracy but I find having a lot of range on a rifle is better because it lets you land a shot on a animal without it becoming alerted to your presence at all. Even though the ammo for it is mainly meant for class 4 to 8 I've been able to take down the class 9 animals such as bison in Silver Ridge Peaks rather quickly

Ambusher is very good, airrifle is useful time to time, drilling is good for improving shotgun skill, virant 22 or zarza 22 is a must, power pack is essential... so powerpack / zarza or virant/ drilling(only for new starters, also good for bow hunters for weight saving)/ airrifle/ ambusher would be my list, other are just for fun...

Does anyone know if Dlcs are downloaded with the main game and just need to be unlocked or do you have to download a new Map after buying it? Because my Steam is bugged at the moment and I can't download new games or Updates and I want to by a Dlc, but don't want to risk my ability to play the game
