Homeward Bound and its sequel have always been my favourites since I was a kid and I even named my dog Shadow after the golden retriever 🥺

A Dog’s Purpose was such an awesome book/movie. How did it not make the list?! The Art of Racing in the Rain is not out yet but the book is also fantastic.

Airbud was the first movie to ever make me cry, when he was yelling at him that he didn't want him anymore. Homeward Bound shortly after, when it didn't seem like Shadow was going to make it out of the hole. My Dog Skip is good as well.

I love all the real life movies on this list! But my #1 is definitely ‘Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey’!!! I love that movie sooooo much!! I’ve loved it since I was a little kid! 😊

Benji! I wanted that dog so much as a child! I watched that movie so many times (the original movie). I still want that dog (yes, I know he's been dead for decades). Such a cute mutt! The beauty of movies that star mutts is that they don't start a frenzy to get a certain purebred. I watched "Beethoven" and "Homeward Bound" a lot too. Also watched "Milo & Otis" a lot too. I feel weird about that movie now after learning about the animal abuse on set. And "101 Dalmatians" was my favorite Disney movie when I was little.

Never heard of number 9. Shiloh was such an amazing film. Honestly a top ten list isn't enough. You need at least a top 50 list as there are way to many and many of the best films aren't even listed as an honorable mention. Like Balto, Eight below, a Dogs purpose.

Marley and Me is a good movie, but Hachi should be No 1. How it is on No 7? The movie was so beautiful and heartbreaking, that it was the only movie that made me cry the most in my entire life. Atleast it should've been on Top 3!!

the og 1974 Benji movie I'm pretty sure I memorized as a child still love it!. Homeward bound had me bawling my eyes out towards the end and Shiloh had me in my feels.

My favorite dog movie, and probably movie of all time, is Bingo. There’s no other movie like it. Completely mature adult-themed, yet it is about an anthropomorphic dog. Bingo is an underrated movie

A Dogs Purpose,and its two follow-ups are beautiful movies about the enduring love of a dog for their family. I also love Because of Winn Dixie,Turner and Hooch,and All Dogs Go to Heaven but Marley and Me is beautiful.

I can watch unspeakable tragedies happen to humans dry eyed and sometimes pretty unfazed, but a dog movie? Bring on the tissues, because I will be crying my eyes out for sure!
