Elton John and Miss Piggy have been my spirit animals for wayyyy longer than I care to admit soooo I LOVE THIS LIST! Anyway, I don't even know how we ranked this because they're literally all my favorite - I even watched "The Nanny" AND I have his "South Park" song on my iPod! All this to say: what's your favorite Elton John SONG? Mine is "Funeral for a Friend" :)

Okay, now I have another reason to like Rebecca. Here are my top 10 in terms of iTunes play count. Not sure I agree that these are my 10 favorites, and there are a couple surprising inclusions and omissions, but here goes: 1. "Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" 2. "Tiny Dancer" 3. "Mona Lisas And Mad Hatters" 4. "Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)" 5. "Levon" 6. "Madman Across The Water" (1971 version from Madman Across The Water) 7. "Simple Life" 8. "Madman Across The Water" (1970 version from Tumbleweed Connection) 9. "Blue Eyes" 10. "Burn Down The Mission" Note: even if I combine the plays for the two different "Madman Across The Water" versions, it doesn't overtake "Funeral For A Friend." Eleven minutes of sonic gold, and part of a murderer's row that leads off that album.

Crocodile Rock was awesomely performed by Elton John on the Muppets and he was actually singing it...not lip synching it. He sang all of the songs on that show. I believe he had 4 songs that he did on that show. Very cute appearances and his outfits he wore were unforgettable.

A couple things. Jim Henson didn’t get his “start” on Sesame Street. He was already a name in Hollywood and CTW had to convince him to sign on. Also The Muppet Show isn’t labeled a children’s show, it’s very much a variety show on the same wave length as Laugh In and SNL just slightly more family friendly

Elton John called me in December 2005. A few friends and myself saw him in Memphis and were ASKED to sit front row center... I made the concert my own and danced like it was my last night! He's a really cool guy. He called three time. The first time he talked to my mom (who was a girl when he was already popular), then called again and briefly talked to my step dad and finally he called and I was home (I graduated in 2006 so at that time I was always out and about!). He was in his jet flying to England to play a tribute show for the queen or something. But he said he appreciated that I got up and cut a rug and wasn't shy. He said he was happy that younger people are still interested in his music... He was really nice. Never talked to him again... EJ Hit Me Up!

One of the best movies of my childhood, used to watch is several times a day sometimes. Just a couple of days back I was listening to some Elton John songs, and suddenly Crocodile Rock pops up. It took me 16 years back in time and I immediately recalled the fantastic Bob th Builder movie. I looked it up right away and it was quite emotional after I saw it again. Such nostalgia. When I was roaming this commentsection, I was looking for this reaction, BECAUSE HIS CAMEO IN BOB THE BUILDER ROCKS!!!

I remember one of the first times I ever listened to Elton was when I was a child. I remember repeated watching Lion King because his song was my favorite. I also remember seeing him in a Bob the Builder special Bob's White Christmas Elton John preforms or a really good sound alike if it's not him but I remember. Does anyone else remember that?
