I have the Gotega External DVD Drive featured in this video, and it plays some of my commercial DVDs and some it will not play. And yes, I put it in the correct region. I want an external DVD drive that plays ALL my DVDs, not a hit and miss device.

Try right click. Run in compatibility mode and choose windows 95. Hope it works that game was great.

The real issue is going to be compatibility with the OS. Attempting to pay a game that was designed for XP on a Windows 10 system might not work. As far as the hardware goes, if a given drive works with a given operating system, the drive will read any type of media that it is designed for (meaning almost all CD-Rom, DVD-Rom, and when supported, even Blu-ray).
