Some love for Fairy Fencer F?! YESSSIRRR

Trying out fairy fencer soon after seeing it here. This channel is so unique, i would never come across these games anywhere else.

Great work! God wars, Fairy Fencer and Langrisser I-II are also on PC by the way. Always nice to have an option outside of consoles. I found Langrisser to be solid and the different paths have some cool twist and differences, but it is super slow to play because the game insist on individually graying out every unit (of which there are many) even if they do nothing in that turn. Bad in QoL, but if you can tolerate that and like SRPGs you have a solid game with plenty of worthwhile content.

And thank you for mentioning Gen of Chaos: Pandora's Reflection, I hadn't been aware of that one. Luckily I found it digitally on the UK Vita store! 😀

Erick really got me interested in Mana Khemia 1 and 2. Also, thanks, NIS for remastering some of those classic games. Other companies could learn a lot from them.

Love NIS ! NIS classics volume 1 will be mine ! Hope their will be makai kingdom in the volume 2, and perhaps disgaea episode which never had a true remaster (disgaea 2, disgaea d2..) Oh and I agree langrisser I&II was really good, I really enjoyed it on the switch !

Destiny Connect is another good game in my opinion, and deserves a little more love. It is kind of a love letter to the jrpg games of old, turn-based and simple. More evocative of those gems on SNES and PS1 than what Square Enix pretended with I am sestuna and those games developed by Tokyo RPG Factory.

Mana Khemia is one of my favorits, so sad that they dropped it and continued Atelier without looking back... Soul Nomad is awesome, I am happy that it will be seen by many people soon because of coming to switch

My first thought at your headline was, "well that sounds expensive." After watching, man that could have been a lot worse - a lot of NIS games have become unaffordable to most. Games like Langrisser are already 100 bucks plus, though. In fact, I'm rapidly coming to the realization that the PS4 is becoming the most financially draining system of all time for JRPG collectors. Sure, individual titles don't reach the height of SNES, Saturn or PS1 madness, but there are SO many of them, way more than all of those systems combined, and there's a lot of titles that had small production runs and already cost more than a hundred bucks for the NA version. I shiver to think what prices will be like in another year or two.

oh wow! i had no clue about the nis classic volumes. this is some GREAT news for me. i love nis titles as much as i did squaresoft/enix back in the day.

Have you tried Fallen Legion Revenants? Nis published this indie project in February and it's got a real time Valyrie profile style button to party member system. There's even an easter egg where the protagonist gets Lenneth's outfit!

Man, i love Grand Kingdom, the game was so fun, and love the music, mainly the Landerth kingdom, the end war results, and class select music.

I would love if LaPucelle Tactics was in the next NIS remaster collection. I really loved that game but never finished it for some reason. I don't really care what game it gets paired with but would prefer another turn based game.

Soul Nomad hype! I wouldn't really call Revya a "Silent Protagonist" though... they have more lines of dialogue than most of the side cast, they just are presented a 'single-choice' dialogue selections instead of being properly voice-acted.

Wait... wait, wait, wait, wait... Soul Nomad and the World Eaters is getting a remake for the Switch? I always regretted missing that game back on the PS2, ever since I met Gig as a guest-character in one of the early Disgaeas! Definitely need to pick this up. And a Switch to play it on, I suppose, but that was inevitable as soon as Disgaea 6 was announced as Switch-exclusive anyway...

Completed god wars amazing tactic RPG but somehow managed to get stuck on one of the post game maps, loved fairy fencer but never completed, buried under some backlog and just buried deeper

I like the spectral souls series. Mostly the blazing souls. Its so serious and i love that kind of story. Grind is too muxh for me tho

My coppy of fairy fencer F glitched out .. i couldnt play it for a while .. so I deleted some files - now it works again!!.

I normally never trust NISA, but I do love the Fan Service games published by them that they didn't censor. But as soon as they started censoring games from Compile Heart and Idea Factory, I started to refuse to buy NISA JRPGs. Though when they did publish a PS Vita games I only decided to buy a few of them before they became too hard to find.

Its funny you use "hidden gem" with NIS stuff because as far im concerned, ALL the NIS games are overlooked by 99% of Gaming community. Great video by the way.

God Wars, awesome character design and some nice ideas but crazy difficulty spike and extremely awful grinding and leveling system, endgame is no-no thing really, its a shame because characters are so nice

Spectral Souls has ATROCIOUS loading times between every single thing you do. I purchased a PSP model 3000 just to speed things up. I should note that it runs better ripped directly to your hacked PSP though. And when I say, everything you do, I mean it. Every dialogue change, every command issued, every command enacted, it all has a loading period between it. It is a good game, it's basically what a Disgaea game would look like if it was serious instead of comedic. Over the top anime attacks, but cruel difficulty that will crush your spirit if you're not good at TATCTICS. You're not going to grind your way through this one.

I prefer Blazing Souls acelate over Spectral Souls
