One of Indianapolis's major claims to fame has to be the exciting range of sporting events it hosts, which includes the famous Indianapolis 500, the world's largest single-day sporting event. It is also the headquarters for the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The city's other claim to fame must be that it is the largest city in Indiana and the second largest city in the American Midwest. Besides the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hall of Fame Museum, the city offers the truly wonderful Newfields home to the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
