Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC)
Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is a public sector passenger road transport corporation based in Uttar Pradesh, India operating intrastate and interstate bus service. It is one of RSV fleets of buses in India and highest in North India. The Headquarter of the corporation is at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh; India.
Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC)
Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) is a state-owned corporation for passenger transport providing bus services both within the state of Gujarat, India and neighbouring states. GSRTC was established on 1 May 1960 with the formation of Gujarat state. GSRTC daily 28 lakh kilometre with 40000 trips and catering daily 24 lakh passengers. GSRTC provides online and mobile phone ticket booking facility. It also provides wi-fi internet service in Volvo buses for free. Currently, the fleet of buses having online ticket booking facility includes Express, Gurjarnagri, Sleeper and Volvo buses.
Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC)
Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is the main public transport operator of Delhi. It is one of the largest CNG-powered bus service operator in the world. Delhi Transport Corporation operates on many routes in Delhi and neighbouring States. The Delhi Transport Corporation was incorporated in May 1948 by the Indian government for local bus services when they found out the incumbent service provider Gwalior and Northern India Transport Company Ltd. was inadequate in serving the purpose.
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC)
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is a state-owned corporation that runs transport services within the Indian state of Telangana. It was formed in 2014 by splitting the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. Many other Indian metro towns in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Odisha and Chhattisgarh are also linked with the services of TSRTC. It serves about 89.4 lakh passengers every day, having three zones and Services operating through 96 depots.

It serves routes to towns and cities within Maharashtra and adjoining states. Apart from locations within the state of Maharashtra, the MSRTC service also covers destinations in neighbouring states. It also offers a facility for online booking of tickets for all Buses.
Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC)
Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited (TNSTC) is a public transport bus operator in Tamil Nadu, India. It operates Town and Mofussil buses with a combined fleet bus along with its subsidiaries MTC and SETC. TNSTC caters to all the districts within Tamil Nadu and also operates services to neighbouring states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and union territory of Puducherry.

KSRTC (Karnataka) is the only govt transport organization in the entire country to give tough fight for the private travels. Infact some of their busses have facilities way beyond what private travels could offer and also their service is always on time, clean and reasonably priced. Proud Bangalorean !!

You're totally wrong, Karnataka public transport totally dependant on KSRTC, there is no proper rail system even if you very pathetic railway experience and operated very less between cities... So without asking central government our dumb state government investing heavily on purchasing bues and make it very expensive to travel 🤦♂️🤦♂️

Karnataka's RTC is the only State Transport corporation in the country to enter Limca Book of Records for having received more than 165 national and international awards. And it was the first to add Volvo, Scania and Mercedes Benz buses to it's fleet. And only our buses have innovative designs like toilets, pantry inside the bus.. proud customer of KSRTC since my birth 😛

@@bala7483 bro firstly KSRTC has more number of executive class buses from Ashok Leyland and Eicher motors than any other state in India.. Mercedes and volvo are not indian brands I agree but who told that they are not manufactured here.. mercedes manufacturing plant is in Pune and volvo has production unit in Bangalore so they are manufactured here in India.. 1000s of Indians are working in these companies so think how many jobs are created and how many people are living happily.. Our PM stressed more on make in India.. by that he meant rather than importing products from foreign countries, he asked those companies to come to India and produce their goods here in India. You must have been confused with this point 🙂

Nice. Healthy competition between the southern states raises everyone's standard. Karnataka is No.1 by a large margin. Bus services are good in Bangalore - no doubt.

Agree, Karnataka is No.1 in public transport services, unfortunately United AP is divided into Andhra and Telangana, otherwise United AP would be number 1 passenger wise and also no. 2 in number of buses.

But you may beg from Chennai city buses (MTC).for example from Bangalore majestic you can get upto 5 buses at a time for electronic city.but you can get atleast 10 buses in koyempedu for Tambaram and you can find 2 to 3 routes for it.so always chennai city ahead for transportation

From my place I can get to 3 bus stop according to my route which are just (300m, 400m, 600m) far from my home so it is too easy to catch a bus but the traffic makes me to take my private vehicle and I end up contributing to more traffic

Tamil Nadu Transportation converted Ashok leyland into smart AC. Actually very smart in spending Money over transportation. After Several Year AC busses can also be Converted into Non AC Normal bus for Local transport. Less Maintenance, long life, value for people Money, Supported Native manufacturers. My Vote is to Tamil Nadu Government Transport authority. Very Brilliant 🙏

In tamil nadu city buss and town Buss are there. Every taluk town bus Depo there. Frequently you can get the buss even in remote village. Such a beautiful day and night bus services there only in tamil nadu. not in any other state in India

Karnataka has poor train connectivity, buses have filled the void. Even in Bengaluru, Metro is a recent introduction which doesn't cover most places. KSRTC/BMTC is the life blood of Karnataka/Bengaluru.

I've travelled by bus all across India. Here's the top 3 according to my experience : #1 Karnataka Rtc #2 Kerala Rtc #3 Goa Rtc Ranked according to quality of services, neatness, punctuality and reliability. The absolute worst experiences were Msrtc, UP Rtc and Rajasthan Rtc.

APSRTC use to be number one since half a century. Due to bifurcation of the state, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana stood at 5th and 6th. APSRTC once held Guinness Book of world record for highest number of fleet in Asia. It is APSRTC which has first introduced Ultra Luxury Volo buses in the fleet of Govt buses in India
