Nice list! My list would be: 1 & 2. Katmai and Lake Clark, one word: Bears 😊 3. Channel Islands, heard it was the Galapagos of the US 4. Glacier National Park, looks beautiful 5. Yosemite, same as Glacier 6. Great Smoky Mountains, Bears watching again, also pretty close to where I live 7. Mt. Rainier, very iconic park 8. Crater Lake, also very iconic 9. Black Canyon of Gunnison, very underrated scenery 10. Gates of the Arctic, so remote and beautiful Some international parks I really would like to visit someday include Galapagos in Ecuador, Masai Mara and Serengeti in Kenya & Tanzania, Torres Del Paine in Chile, and the ones in New Zealand’s South Island.

Since Zion peaked my curiosity in Utah for its diversity , I think Olympic National Park sounds the most interesting to me for the same reason. Also Alaska has been a state I’ve also wanted to visit so Lake Clark and Katmai look amazing🐻🐟

I've been to mt ranier Acadia and olympic and I think those are some great parks you should definitely go to at some point my top 2 that I have not been to is isle royale and Aniakchak national monument alaska (although that one is not much of a park)

You mentioned fall foliage. By reputation, the best NP for this is Shenandoah. I've been to Acadia. It's a wonderful place -- especially, as you say, the trails. But be forewarned that the park is nestled around Bar Harbor, which, in my experience, is a crowded, very touristy town.

It’s a shame I missed fall foliage at Shenandoah by just a couple weeks when we visited in November, 2022. For the longest time, I was under the impression that the colors lasted for longer than they actually do.

@@TravelDash Yeah, I’ve been to Shenandoah twice, both times in summer. Didn’t see the fall foliage, but I hiked many trails and ran into bears and deer up close on the trails.

Acadia national park is beautiful, Its one of 3 national parks I’ve been to but there are lots of invasive species everywhere so if you see one try to “take care” of it
