My Captain America fun fact is that Captain Americas greatest power is his willpower. In Secret Wars issue 12 he mended his broken shield with sheer willpower. I believe, the first Avenger is a reference to the fact that he existed before the rest of the Avengers in the timeline.

Cap also had a gun along with that kite shaped shield. It wasn't until Captain America Comics #3 that Stan Lee wrote the bit where FDR replaced those two with an indestructible Vibranium disk shaped shield.

Do you guys think that Captain America is like Marvel's Superman? nothing to do with their powers but due to respect.

I recently came to a realization about Captain America, which is that ... IF the writers would actually utilize his most powerful ability ... he SHOULD BE the most powerful character in the Marvel Universe. Let me explain: First, what is his most powerful ability? It's the ability very few people ever think about and most don't even know about. The super soldier serum didn't just make Steve strong and fast. It literally turned his brain into what is essentially an organic super-computer. The reason his shield always comes back to him after bouncing off of half a dozen moving objects is because, in the moment he throws his shield, he does all the mathematical calculations to determine how to throw his shield with enough force and at the right angle to bounce off of those half-dozen MOVING objects and return to his hand. He has a photographic memory and a fantastic ability to calculate not only numbers, but human action. He has the ability to create fully formed strategies in an instant. This power, however, is constantly ignored by the writers because if the every utilized it to any significant degree, it would COMPLETELY change the character of Captain America. He could literally spend the day in a college library and end up with a PHD level understanding of physics. Give him another day to search the internet for cutting edge research articles and now he's on par with Stark, Richards, Banner, etc... Give him a week to really focus on honing his scientific knowledge and now he's the smartest man in the Marvel Universe by a WIDE margin. Next, think about how crazy powerful Dr. Strange is. Dr. Strange wasn't born with any powers or special abilities other than being smart. Magic in the Marvel Universe is something that can be learned. It's a skill. So, in walks Cap to the Sanctum Sanctorum and asks Dr. Strange for lessons. A week later Cap is the new Sorcerer Supreme. So we're two weeks in and now Cap is not only physically a super soldier, but skills wise he's in a position to create bleeding edge advanced armor and weapons that would make Stark Tech look like a 2X4 with a nail in it and the magical knowledge to do pretty much ANYTHING he wants. He's basically the good-guy version of Doctor Doom, but about a thousand times more powerful in every way. If this is just the first two weeks ... holy crap! What does week 3 look like?!

Captain wasn't the first marvel superhero Namor was created in 1939

Cap was originally a spy-hunter in the US, hunting fifth-columnists and sabaeurs. He didn't do any of the Takei bonds promotion stuff from _Captain America: The First Avenger_. After getting the S-SS and hunting down the shy who killed the scientists who invented the S-SSS and vita rays, he relocated to a Us-side Army Fort and created a costume for adventuring at night, with Bucky who discovered his identity, and frequently got in trouble with HIS for his night-time adventures. No one knew he was Stever Rogers except Bucky, and they did all their spy-hunting state-side

There was actually a time where Wilson took up the Captain America mantle before Rogers lost his enhancements. Cap asked Falcon (after Bucky turned it down) to take up the mantle, and it was during this time Falcon's criminal side took over, and when cap got shot and pronounced dead, Falcon snapped out of it and felt ashamed at what he had done and gave the mantle back to Rogers
