The Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Show was number one if you were a typical late 1970’s kid. And the "Fantastic 4" cartoon listed here is a MILLION times better than the one that actually aired in first-run during the '70's (the god-awful 1978-1979 version with H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot instead of The Human Torch)!

When I noticed "The Fantastic 4" was on your list, I was worried that it was going to be the godawful 1978 version with (ughh!) Herbie, the Robot. But I was relieved when when I saw the titles to the 60's version.

The Smurfs didn't come out in the 1970s, hence the title. They came out in the 1980s.

This is more 'top cartoons up until the 70s', the Looney Tunes cartoons were aggregated shorts from the previous decades, Flintstones and Jetsons were The Simpsons and Futurama of their time, primetime cartoons from the 60s. Speed Racer is from the sixties, Scooby Doo started in the sixties, but late sixties and continued on into forever, so sure.

The original Scooby-Doo (1st series) was the best for me. Never could get into all of many variations that came out after that. Even up to now. Though, I will say 'Scooby Doo Incorporated' would run a close second. That was an interesting re-imagining of the show.

Toy Smurfs may have come out in 1978 but the cartoon didn't. It came out in 1981 or 1982.
