In the webtoon Lero ro still made an example of a regular but it wasn't levin. It was some random dude that claimed he was the strongest of all the regulars there.

The way you talk about ToG it's characters and plot is EXACTLY the way in needs to be analized. Most of the people assume dialogues and characters and lore pieces are there just because but all of them are hints to the future of the story and so far you are doing a great job! Season 2 anime duscussions will be really interesting because you'll have a lot more info to work with!

You should definitely watch the Dr. Bonehead dub. They actually got pretty far into season 2 before getting a cease and desist unfortunately, but it's pretty damn well done for a fan project.

I hated the shinsu explosion because it takes away from the subtle foreshadowing. It was what he did, and understanding that let's everything else he does make sense. It reduces his benefits of being irregular to " I'm strong first and foremost." Lastly, the color of shinsu matters a lot depending on who uses it later. Golden shinsu is a very specific and unique color, and it makes an ugly overlap with another character. It's basically a low effort yellow super saiyan energy beam used for shock effect in the anime. Why is this important? we know Baams color and the gold is the worst choice they could have made.

I feel like the huge Shinsu beam is kind of problematic because everyone in the crown game saw it, including Lero ro. This means that everyone would already know how much bam was capable of, and the scenes where Hoh gets more and more jealous don't make sense because the power he displays during training is a fraction of what happened in the crown game. If the regulars saw that bam was so overpowered, their attitudes towards him would change, which doesn't happen. In the webtoon, the instance of shinsu was much more discreet and it was ambiguous how bam managed to hurt hwaryun.

I don't like how they make Bam seem powerful because it makes him seem more like a generic OP MC instead of someone with a lot of potential but still needs lots of training and experience before he can reach his potential. Also, it emphasizes that Bam is a dangerous element not because of his raw power but because he can ignore rules of the tower due to being a irregular and it doesnt just correlate to raw power.

My biggest issue with the crown game isn’t Bam using golden shinsu. It’s actually him flat out attempting to kill someone. Bam is supposed to start out as a naive kid who doesn’t like or believe in hurting anyone. This makes Bam’s growth and change throughout the series much more satisfying. There is especially a moment in S3 where this and what Endorsi told him are a big deal and brought up again, and I feel having Bam try to kill someone in S1 completely ruins that.

Dr Bonehead has some interesting videos in his TOG that covers content from SIU blog posts (that were deleted). That content that still havent appeared even in the webtoon and may or may not appear in the future. Some examples are the videos about Phantaminum and the Three Lords (that in this case they still havent even been mentioned in the webtoon). They have some small spoilers from the webtoon itself but nothing that would ruin your experience (mainly just some names or images of characters that still havent appeared in the anime)

Dr. Bonehead has a bunch of Lore videos on characters in TOG like Jahad but they have a bunch of spoilers for much later in the Webtoon. Probably like Season 4 or later in the Anime

The Black March scene when it aired didn't really seem that big of an issue but given what has happened now in the webtoon it kind of breaks Tower of God a bit as well as Bam as a character and the shinsu moment will now be a comparison to every pop off moment Bam will have going forward which some when they happened were hype but in comparison to that moment in episode 5 for anime only fans I don't think they'll be as hyped.

Well the think is that the anime not only upgrade baam power to make it impossible for his actual strengh but also create new power like becoming shinsu that never existed and it will probably never will be talked about in the anime moreover baam right now is supposed to not have anything specials exept for his fast learning and that's a pretty important plot point for later

For a while I think he was one of the only KZfaqrs covering ToG, and he really stuck to it with the Dub and all the content (he might have been what got me into it but it was a while ago and I can't really remember, but he did help me understand a lot of things I missed). He really kept the fandom alive for a long time.

I too don't like the Golden shinsu moments, they screw with the whole logic of the characters interacting with Bam, like how people still see bam as weak when he show so much power? The impressive part of that feat was that he used shinsu at all not how much or how big It was

35:30 I disagree because in the original, bam killing the bull was a culmination of all of his efforts. He used what he learned on screen to do it instead of it being instinct/handed to him which was way more satisfying and impressive.

Ren shows up in the future and reveals his real body. This is not his real body or his real power. His real power is shown later

In what he want to say about the last part is the shinsu is not suppose to appear in his body but it should be the shinsu act on its own to protect Baam from danger

9:25 there was actually a different character this happened to and it was a lot more compelling in my opinion. He was much more emotionally broken than Levin after boasting about being the strongest in his village etc. my memory is a little fuzzy but it was a much better moment and that message was still conveyed

Ren's "death" was fixed in the webtoon. Making the anime version also fit the cannon.

bam popping off depends on the dumb ones who want an over powered character and ones who like some real character growth and earning power. but its the mystery behind bam that should draw people in, bam giving anime onlys a golden shower

No Ren appears at the recent season as he get to fight Baam

a fact about an error in the production of the anime in the first season comes back in episode 7 when they explain about the princesses, we see Yuri, Androssi, some of Maschenny's hair and the repellista from the back, but the biggest mistake are the two characters in the center, both were only introduced at the end of the second season and were only highlighted now in the third season in chapter 550 and forward, but the anime already had a ready-made design for them, the anime basically gave spoilers about the two of them

nope ren is a dope character later. replacing him wouldnt work because he's part of a 10 family which is important but also a jahad army assassin also important

Tower of god season 1 anime not good or not bad but mid adaptation like classroom of the elite s1 to s3 type . They adapt max 90% to 93% webtoon source material , cut some minor scene / dialogue and 79 chapters convert into 13 episodes . Even my anime list give this anime 7.56 out 10 rating .
