I’ve spent many, many, many hours of my life playing Devil’s Crush on the TurboGrafx-16. Out of pure curiosity I searched for video pinball ranking videos and this was the first one that popped up, so I clicked and watched through this video wondering if anybody else ever knew it existed and if it might make an appearance. I’m really glad to see it as your #1; I can tell you firsthand how special a game it is lol. Very good video

Another great one, love Pinball Dreams and Fantasies on the Amiga. But outside our homes, the most played video pin was never ported, cannot forget Pinball Action on every coffeshop, bar and at the arcades... Most pirated board, some operators told me once. Time Scanner and Psycho also my favorites. Cheers

My favorite is 3D Space Cadet pinball. So nostalgic.

My favourites are Nightmare on Pinball Dreams (Amiga), and don't laugh now Pinball Wizard ( ZX Spectrum). Had so many pleasant hours with those two games 😀

Another great video. Thanks for putting this together. I remember several of these. As others mentioned, I enjoyed "Crue Ball" on the Genesis / Mega Drive. Technically not the greatest game, but somehow it was entertaining. I guess I am a sucker for anything pinball-related. On the same system, I also enjoyed "Virtual Pinball", which is a somewhat simplified but functional version of a pinball construction set. Although the graphics were crude, I still like the variety of tables and the ability to change them or create new tables. I recall a PC pinball game called "Timeshock" which was meticulously rendered for its time. I also recall some PS1 pinball games; I think one was called Big Race USA. These days I enjoy playing all the Pinball Arcade and Zen Pinball tables, mostly on console, sometimes on iOS. I used to favor Zen, as it seems well-designed for playing as a video game. However, I have grown to also enjoy the varied layouts & features of the Pinball Arcade tables.

How about 3D Ultra Pinball? Specifically, Creepnight and Lost Continent. The Lost Continent is worth special notice because, although cheesy, it actually had a story integrated into the game.

SlamTilt on the Amiga is my favourite and I still play it today. Illusions and Obsession Pinball are also nice to play but I didn't really play many pinball games which weren't on the Amiga.

hey buddy loved the video. love the amiga pinball games. greatest of all was nightmare from pinball dreams (still play it on emulator & also got it on ps3). i had no idea they did so many tables so will be going thru the emulator to play every one ! so cool to see so much respect being paid to these games.

This is really exciting! Basically I'm doing research because I'm currently working on developing pinball games for PC using the Unity engine, starting small, and all these games look amazing! Out of all of these, Epic pinball and Balls of Steel are the only two I have played in my time! #1 looks amazing though, it reminds me of the NES game Pinball Quest(but much better). Thanks for the inspiration, I look forward to hunting down and playing all of these amazing games to help me get some ideas for my own series of games I will be making! I'm currently in the prototyping stage, so far I have the core mechanics/physics set up, scoring, multipliers, etc.. Even with today's more user friendly tools, devving is still hard work, but it is quite rewarding and also nice to see others out there excited about pinball video games!!

Hahaha, that intro, I subbed instantly! Some other pinball games I really like, probably you know them: C64: Mechanicus, 3D Pinball Power, Advanced Pinball Simulator and for the Game Boy: Revenge of the Gator and Kirby´s Pinball Land, this one is just unbelievable awesome! ;-)

I always enjoyed the classic 'advance pinball simulator' on the Spectrum, quite basic compared to all those you listed but as a kid i loved it. Also the Simon the sorcerer pinball was good fun.

I love pinball games. Pinball fantasies was my one of most playable games for amiga. But maybe you dont know Pinball of the Dead, game for Gameboy Advcance. In my opinion, it is most atmospheric and playable pinball ever :)

wow a Black-Metal band! not everyone can play drums on such technically demanding sub-genre... Back in the arcades days, you wanted credits to last as much as possible and unfortunately, pinball machines were something I was not good at. Besides, I was more into "the pixel thing" experience that arcade machines delivered. Nevertheless I remember being blown away by "Pinball Fantasies" on a 80286 based pc at a friend´s house, it´s color palette and sound was something consoles could not achieve by that time. If you are not alergic to Glam-Metal as I am, there is "Crue Ball" for Mega Drive, a Motley Crue based game with tunes from the band. Great episode as usual!

Great video! Definitely a few I missed in there. (I recognise the 'Dragon' one but not the title- perhaps I played a foreign version?) Was good to see you drumming! (I played a little, for fun, before getting into DJ'ing and electronic stuff. Still have my kit... good times!) Dragon's Fury / Devil Crash was one of best pinball game ever made. Its soundtrack is AMAZING! I had this game and DinoLand too. But Devil Crash is way better. Sonic Pinball wasn't bad, but Devil Crash is still better :)

You've mentioned all of my favourites and Dragons Fury is one the best games of all times (of any genre), but if you've not tried it and have a Gameboy Colour sitting in a drawer, check out Hollywood Pinball. It's a great little title and would definitely make my top ten.

Pinball fantasies epic pinball and pinball illusions are my favorites

Awesome episode once again I really love Pinball video games myself. On the amiga I liked pinball dreams more than pinball fantasies, the Steel Wheels table is to blame for that :) I played it on so many occasions against my dad, trying to beat each others hi-score. Great memories! Have you played Revenge of the Gator on the Game Boy? Some of my other favorite console pinball games are Battle Pinball (SNES), Rollerball (NES) and Fantastic Pinball Kyutenkai (Saturn) PS: Did you know that Pinball Fantasies also got a physical release (well in one or another way) on the PSP? It's been made available on Mega Mini's Volume 1 and playable right of the UMD. Well, I'm off to GOG now, going to track and buy that pinball pack. I'll have to tell my wive you made me do it ;)

psycho pinball the best, I remember when I was a kid how many hours I played that.

Nicely researched video, subscribed. Obsession by UDS is well worth checking out. It's a pinball game released on the Atari STE and Amiga (the STE version is arguably better). Great music as well, Aquatic Adventure is my favourite table although the baseball table is also good.

Tenho jogado muitos tabuleiros para várias consolas/pc's mas realmente há algo de especial no trabalho da Digital Illusions e, sim, é a excelente música/atmosfera para além da física. A minha primeira experiência foi o Advanced Pinball Simulator da Codemasters para o ZX Spectrum e ainda hoje jogo ao Pinball Fantasies. Tens opinião favorável sobre o Space cadet Pinball que vem na pasta de jogos do windows?

O SlamTitl não conhecia. Gostei muito de um que na altura se chamava apenas Tilt, mas tal como já falaste em alguns dos teus videos, em jovens fazemos asneiras e vendi o meu e nunca mais o encontrei, e nem sequer uma referência. You're definitely not missing anything by not playing the PS1 version of Extreme Pinball. It has incredibly long load times and doesn't play all that great.
