"You know you remind me of someone, almost like the son I never wanted." After Boomstick said that his "Pappy left him when he was a kid." Sarge awkwardly walks back and leaves. Yeah this has to be canon

And both care for him and that's just the weird alien way they show it. :P ...and y 'alien', I mean 'from outer space'. :P Seriously, aliens won't have the human's ideals for what makes a good parent. We need to stop projecting human parenting skillso n an alien. ;;; We don't do it for things like bears or cats, so why should we for aliens? The cultures and parental instincts are VERY different.

Asura from Asura’s Wrath deserves the gold medal for best dad. He went through hell and back multiple times, killed everyone who betrayed and framed him, took on and beat the will of the planet, Vlitra, and he killed Chakravartin, the god of all creation who made mantra and the Ghoma that plagued the whole world even when he knew it would kill him too. And what makes it all the more heartwarming? He did it all to save his only daughter. That is a true daddy for you right there.

Another great dad is the Scotsman from Samurai Jack. Not only do you get to have the most belligerent and unapologetically Scottish father ever, he comes complete with a magic rune-sword and could keep pace with the legendary samurai himself. And when he isn't spatting mild racism and prejudiced smacktalk, he's reminding you to dress like a proper lady. As if he wasn't great enough, he sent his own daughter warriors away from a battle beyond his skill and distracted the enemy singlehandely.

Piccolo was always one of my favorite characters because of when he sacrificed himself in the saiyan saga. I really enjoyed his character development throughout the series as well.

that is a good point or he would be veiwed as the best grandpa ever Alfred has cared for everyone in the Bat family even those that others have turned their backs on. like Jason, Alfred still welcomes him into the the Manor and the Batcave even if the others are gone. there was a line in Red Hood and the Outlaws "Everyone needs an Alfred"

Jason really didn't turn his back on them he just went that extra mile that Batman won't cross unless get really really push over that line and that is to kill cause Jason is still under the hero part not the villain end cause he only kill bad guys plus he do help out still if they needed him for the killing part if killing is the only way to get the job done other then Alfred to do it.

In one of the Batman comics, his female Robin, Stephanie Brown was tortured by Black Mask and her Doctor purposely failed the treatment for her and Batman not only threaten the Doctor he also got that doctor deported and took her medical license from her. Batman can't kill you but he'll make everything you've worked for fall apart

You missed Asura from Asura's Wrath. A demigod who waged war against all other demigods and the true god. Just because they made his daughter cry (along with some torture and abusing her power etc). And at the end of it all when killing the god of everything would kill him he still did because that would mean his daughter would still live and be at peace.

10: I love how godfathers count here too. 9: Ah, so we've been playing as Liam Nielsen's character from Taken this whole time since he has a particular set of skills. 8: Weird how he's both in the worst dads list and the best dads list. 7: Wait, I always thought this was a franchise about racing. 6: Hey, I just mentioned Liam! 5: Ah, you do the parks and recreation proud, my guy. 4: Hell, he even made a Bruce Wayne homonculus out of a guy, which would eventually result in Terry, the Batman Beyond! 3: We also got Marakov, who serves as a father to his guild. 2: I don't remember this one. 1: You know what? My personal vote goes to Gaige's Dad from Borderlands 2: never seen, but his interactions with his daughter show patience, compassion, and helping her escape when her science project accidentally slices a girl's face off; also, what about Sully from Uncharted who always had Nathan Drake's back? And Tai Yang from RWBY, an excellent hunter that raised two amazing huntresses with different moms?

Corey McCraw oh i thought the joke was that joker from persona 5, has parents who didn't bother to help him when he was tried in court but instead sent him to a city away from home and had him live in an attic own by a guy who the parents technically never met but instead heard of from a friend

Not a single father on this list has their son's name tattooed on their back. Archer not just did that but he paid extra to have his own name tattooed on a baby. Greatest Dad Ever

I haven't seen the rest, but Piccolo should have been top 5. Sorry, but it's true. EDIT Just watched the rest. Picollo is the only dad to die for his son and he's not even related. He should have been number one because that is the greatest sacrifice. Joel is number 2 because he sacrificed the world, and Logan is nowhere on the list. I call for a recount.

Death has no meaning in a universe where at worse it means you train for a year in other world until you are wished back. Not really a huge sacrifice. About as much an inconvenience as waiting in line at the dmv.

That's entirely my point. Piccolo screwed everyone. He should have left gohan to die then simply wished him back. Now (for all they knew at the time) everyone stays dead.

+KashKey Yes I did suggest Tails vs. Son Gohan. I'm not referring to Tails from the games but Tails from the Archie comics which is stronger than Sonic. Just look up Tails in his powered up forms you have Turbo Tails, Titan Tails, and Hyper Tails. Sonic in Archie is faster than the Flash(DC comics) and as strong as, if not stronger than Son Goku.

I think one more honorable mention is The Scotsman from Samurai Jack's Adult Swim run. This will probably be a spoiler if you didn't happen to watch the show, but by the time the fifth season made its run, the Scotsman, voiced by John DiMaggio, had fathered his own elite force of Amazoness-like warriors. Sounds kinda hardcore, right? Well, when he realized he was in for a losing battle he had his daughters retreat, putting his life before that of his family... all to roast the devil before getting literally roasted himself. He was a badass even in death. As a reward, his ghost pulled an Anakin Skywalker and became a middle aged man again. That's why being a noble dad pays off.

In regards to Joel, there was no telling if the Fireflies would succeed in curing the world or not: They had tried it before and failed. So Joel for sure made the right decision.
