The video says alternate timelines, but many of their picks are actually alternate worlds or REALITIES, not different timelines. The nightmare worlds of Dark Nights Metal would have fit here perfectly.

The Dark Multiverse is not really an alternative Multiverse like the Anti-Multiverse It is made by Barbatos from the Nightmare of the People But it is unstable and every time Barbatos need to recreate it So The Dark Knights are not really from Alternative Time Liness Dude to the fact that their universes are unstable and uncompleted

According to The Dream they were there from the beginning cuz there was the Forger who forged worlds since the beginning of everything some world would rise up and some would fall down to the dark mutliverse its just that no one knew there was a dark multiverse even though it was always there.

Albert Wesker The Universes inside the Dark Multiverse are Unstable and Uncompleted And they Die faster than normal universes Time Linee So faster that they literally collapse over themselves For this reason I think they’re not really Time Linees I mean they are but not as the real ones

This video was made last year but from what I’ve seen from the new series Batman Metal, that would now in all likelihood top number 1. It’s beautifully dark and gritty with no hope and utter despair.

I think when Marvel timelines get dark, it makes you depressed for like a week because of how bleak they are. But when DC does dark timelines, they are so badass and metal that I kinda think "Why is this not the main DC continuity?"

Eh, the Dark Multiverse doesn't count. They're all briefly existing dark reflections of other alternate Earths. They die and are replaced in a relatively rapid succession.

Many of these picks are actually alternate worlds or realities, not different timelines. Rock of Ages and Flashpoint are the only two that are actually alternate timelines, from what I can tell. That said, the nightmare worlds of Dark Nights Metal would have been perfect for this list.

Not really an alternate timeline but I don’t think anything can be as dark as Identity Crisis, it was grounded in a sense and showed villains are more capable then previously thought

anyone remember that issue when in an alternate reality barry tries to save his dad and he is thrown back in the past even more by speed force and develops a hatred for it and basically becomes reverse flash and in the end ends up killing his own dad thinking it's other Barry's (protagonist) father....😔

I dont understand why Dark Nights Metal worlds are not on here. I get there are a lot but they are ALL way darker than every single one of these. Even if they are from the dark multiverse they are still part of a DC multiverse and should be number 1.

You forgot The Batman Who Laughs in universe 23 Joker killed Gordon and captured Batman and let him watch a replay of the deaths of his parents over and over Batman escapes and punches Joker to death and that triggered a bomb inside Joker filled with Joker Gas and that Jokerized Batman mentally and fysicly then he became the Batman Who Laughs a combination of Joker and Batman. Man i read alot of comics

Wrong. It's Earth - 23. This is the Dark Multiverse and not an actual alternate timeline. It's a grim reflection of the real Earth 23. Just like Earth - 11 is a dark version of Earth 11, the gender swapped universe. More to the point, the "timelines" actually disappear, getting replaced by another grim reflection. Probably one where it isn't Batman who goes nuts.

Red Sun isn't a dark timeline, everything turns up good in the end, and only America goes to shit (cause Lex won't give in, and he eventually fixes the country anyway). I find the choice ill-fitting and wrong for this list.

There's also twisted timeline in Teens Titans GO (don't watch it you'll only lose time) where the titans go in the past to undo what trigger the super-hero, so for example they save batman's parent by forcing them to change their way (I'll explain why it's dark later) and simply kill young aquaman by tossing plastic thing in the sea which trap him (and eventually kill him) there's also other that I forgot but when they come back all villains are rampaging the city, so they have to undo what they did, which is nice ... except for batman where they push them to go to what they previously intended to, knowing fully well they would die there.

Without question the worst alternate earth in DC Comics is Earth 10 where Overman and Overgirl the Nazi versions of Superman and Supergirl reside and where the Nazi party not only reigned but conquered most of that Earth. It is literally safe for nobody on that Earth

What the hell. What about the Justice Lords timeline from the DCAU where Luthor became President, killed Flash, and was then assassinated by Superman, who went on to lead the Justice League to become a dictatorship that ran the world and locked people up for disagreeing with food bills.

Yea, I wouldn’t of put Kingdom Come as the 2nd most darkest DC else world story, I would put it at like 8, although I do think it is the best DC else world story, but not the darkest, if anything I think Watchmen should take the number 1 spot as the darkest DC else world story, and The Killing Joke 2nd, but I’m not sure if those are considered “else world stories” but their definitely the darkest DC stories I’ve ever read.
