Crowd or no crowd noise there's nothing worse than some opponent jangling his darts right behind you or whistling or sniffling or any noise. It's called etiquette.

Imo they should be making the other player stand further away and have like a referee Watching over the waiting player for sus activities

Listen to yourselves! Imagine a Man U player taking a penalty at the Kopp end at Liverpool...would the ref warn everyone to be quiet otherwise be ejected from the ground? I don't think that would work. On the other hand don't try and unwrap a boiled sweet during a snooker match despite paying an arm and a leg for your ticket. You'll be out on you ear. (sorry for too many references to body parts).

Because that’s expected and they can block out a wall of noise like the crowd. Unexpected noise throws them out their rhythm

Ok theres women with broken noses, bottles being thrown at people, shouting constantly, pissed up fuckers everwhere, constant noise.. But he stopped play because out side somwhere, bearing in mind the fucking arena is massive and so outside is quite far already, then you have the noise already inside He stopped because there was a firework outside lol

It’s extending the time that the darts are retrieved. Players usually play in a way where they instantly start aiming while the other one has just retrieved their darts. If someone retrieved their darts and then proceeds to stand at the board, this will inevitably throw players off big time

Nah, the worse incident was when they had some commemorative balloons besides the board and the dart popped one up. Someone from the crowd screamed: "They're turning a professional darts event into a carnival or somethin'? Does he get a giant teddy bear for that?" Then, when that guy went to get back his darts, another player was kinda distracted and threw a dart on his back! There was blood, but he wasn't seriously injuried. After that, some fans started lobbying for velcro boards in professional events. It didn't catch on (pun intended).

the caller is actually way to close the line of sight etc ,, callers do not need to be so close the board and players actually have to twist their walk back because the callers are causing an obstruction to the free movement of the players. = get it sorted you silly little people.

Why don’t the players walk off to the other side, and then they wouldn’t have to squeeze through such a small gap, because the announcer would not be on that side?

For years MVG has encroached onto the exclusion zone when his opponent is throwing. He is practically breathing down their necks. He has never pulled up by the ref about it.

I play competitive darts.. not high level but still, darts players are so overreactive man.. even in my league.. they will throw in a crowded bar,piss drunk on a friday, and complain about you drinking fucking water in a match on saturday
