I haven't seen Frozen II but that seems weirdly unimaginative. Tying Frozen to the rest of Disney canon seemed far more...interesting. Closing it off definitively from the rest of Disney canon just feels like a mistake, though from what I understand, the majority of the movie is a mistake, as Disney set a release date and everything worked backwards from that (or should we say, forced). I watched a little behind the scenes thing about it on here, in fact, about how turbulent the production was. Then again, I don't have much sympathy for the director, Jennifer Lee, who is singlehandedly responsible for teaching girls they can punch boys they don't like. There's even documentation that she pushed for Anna to punch the prince as some 'gotcha' against an ex or something. It's so bizarre.
