School teacher in me jumping in; the presenter made several glaring mispronunciations, even after saying names correctly in the same narration. JoAnn (Joan) Crawford, Warren Betty (Beatty), and others. I was really distracted by the mistakes. If you're covering famous people or events you should really get the names right.

Number 1 is someone who’s career wasn’t ruined whatsoever and now nearly 20 years later he’s just won his second Golden Globe since Alexander and been in 4 critically acclaimed movies and roles in the last 2 years. (The Batman, Banshees of Inisherin, After Yang and Thirteen Lives). Colin Farrell is possibly at the peak of his career now, how is he on this list 😂

They acknowledged he is good now. But for a while after Alexander he had tarnished reputation. He had to work hard to get back on top

The narrator stated early in the vid that these films either damaged an actor's reputation either forever, or long enough for people to take notice, which they did with Colin Farrell and Alexander the Great. That's why he's on the list. The movie came out way back in 2004, and his career has bounced back big-time since then, after some bumps in the road; so your comment is rather pointless. No one said Alexander destroyed Farrell's career forever.

Colin Farrell went from Alexander right into The New World, Miami Vice, and In Bruges nearly back to back to back - I’d hardly say that Alexander ruined his career. Plus, he’s been in a ton of great films over the past decade leading into Banshees. The Lobster, The Beguiled, Widows etc. Alexander was a disappointment and a flop, for sure, but hardly the career ended that everyone makes it out to be.

I agree. Honestly, I don’t think any of the aforementioned actors careers where ruined. This video is just click bate. Even when he mentions Sofia Coppola ( and pronounces her name incorrectly) at the beginning of the video, claiming she “hasn’t acted much” since The Godfather part 3, I wonder if it has anything to do with her successful filmmaking career? 😂 She even directed Colin Farrell in The Beguiled. And… Cuba Gooding Jr. well, sexual misconduct and rape allegations probably had a lot to do with his failed career… deservedly so.

Plain bs. You guys really wanted to bash on Colin Farrell and/or Alexander at all cost ! There was a hype around the movie, it was awaited by many and disappointed most, because everyone placed their expectations about it way too high ! In the end it's a fairly decent movie... And when it comes to Colin Farrell, his career even got better after this ! He's been starring non-stop and in a wide variety of productions ! From artistically ambitious movies (The New World, The Lobster, The Killing of a Sacred Deer) to flashy projects (Miami Vice, Total Recall, Solace, Fantastic Beats and Where to find them, Dumbo) or critically acclaimed pieces (In Bruges, Saving Mr. Banks, True Detective, The Batman) among other things ; the dude has a rich and diverse career that's far from ruined ! He's not exactly an unemployed/inactive/retired actor and has always been working in all sorts of projects, whether you like them or not.

If this announcer is gonna do this for a living, he should at least pronounce names correctly. I laughed hard when I heard him say Sofia Coppola’s name. And she doesn’t act much anymore because she’s now a successful filmmaker. She’s directed Lost In Translation, The Suicide Diaries & The Beguiled, just to make a few. She’s a director now. Francis Ford Coppola is her father and Nic Cage is her cousin.

Dishonorable Mention: *Music (2021) *The movie drew ire for it's downright INSULTING and OFFENSIVELY BAD portrayal of an autistic character from a non-autistic actress. In my eyes, the character is not being portrayed as an autistic person, she's being portrayed as a retard, and there's a HUGE difference! This is one that hits me the most personally mainly because I happen to be autistic myself.

When I first saw the clips on Sia's infamous directorial Film, I was very upset, offended, and it did not do well to portray an individual with autism in a realistic light.

Seriously, it's like her career was revoling around hypocrisy of her being empowering for others, but really, she's doing this out of her selfish desires. That's what fame can do to people like Sia sometimes. For that, I made my own decisions to stop supporting these kinds of habits from a sellout like Sia. She might as well be Cruella Devil of Hollywood.

7:18 It wasn’t just the role of Jesus that stalled Jim Caviezel’s career. In 2002, he was the lead in Touchstone’s adaptation of “The Count Of Monte Cristo” and was very insistent they stick to the source material as close as possible which annoyed the director. Disney kept him out of work for 10 years by labeling him difficult to work with

Who put this list together? A lot of these actors kept working or had been working for a long time and just slowed down. And especially in the case of number one, who's had bigger successes since. The title is a bit overblown for the selections chosen.

It's outrageous to put Mr. Farrell on the top spot here! I'd say he just chose to work with interesting directors, who chose to tell and shoot stories not the Blockbuster-way, but more delicately and more the indie-way, so to speak. He is a household name in Hollywood and the world of film since his works like "In bruges", ""The Lobster", "Killing of a Sacred Dear". He worked and played beautifuly roles on multiple movies since Alexander. Literally the following year of Alexander, in 2005 he played in "New World" by critically acclaimed director Terrence Malick, in 2007 he worked with Woody Allen, in 2009 with Terry Gilliam. Not quite the names, you'd associate with a failed career. Colin Farrell just choses his roles differently and more carefully I'd say. And with his now 3 Golden Globe noms and his first Oscar nom he's finally recognised in the history books, as one of the best actors.

If I were Corden he should stick to voice acting and broadway musicals instead of appearing in odd musical movies. Sony’s Cinderella wasn’t terrible, it’s just that casting no A-list stars was weird. At least that film is better than Dear Evan Hansen.

“Cats” is one of the best Broadway shows, but it also was one of the worst musical film adaptations. Not even Jennifer Hudson or Taylor Swift (or even the latter’s “Beautiful Ghosts”) could save the movie from being a disaster.

It wasn’t playing Jesus Christ that ruined Jim C’s career. It was his Qanon antics. Christian Bale played Jesus Christ and his career is quite fine. So did Willem Dafoe. Jim C is the problem.

Concussion - this movie Highlighting The Dangers of CTE & The NFL ignoring it was one of Thr Biggest Oscar Bait movies I've ever seen. Or course Will Smith slapping Chris Rock didn't help his career either.

The intense dislike of _Heaven's Gate_ is unfortunate, but not at all surprising. It's a great film, but the fact that its runtime is nearly four hours in length is almost certainly why it for scrutinized as much as it did.

Colin Farrell's career was hardly RUINED after Alexander. He continued to have a really fruitful career (weren't ya'll aware of The Batman as well) before finally earning his first Oscar nomination for Banshees. As for Jim Caviezel, well there's a little known film called Sound of Freedom making a splash right now in case you haven't heard. I hope his career only goes further from that. I personally also enjoyed Emilio Estevez's Bobby especially for its fine ensemble cast.
