Samantha Bricio (born November 22, 1994 in Mexico) is a Mexican volleyball player, the youngest player to play for the Mexico national team in its history. Bricio played in the 2009 FIVB Girls Youth World Championship (finishing ninth) and again in 2011, finishing twelfth.
She received the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games Best Scorer and Best Server awards and the Best Scorer award in the 2011 Youth Pan-American Cup, 2011 Junior Pan-American Cup and the 2013 Pan-American Cup.

She's a star in the making. But the real challenge is against Asian teams. Japanese and Chinese players are excellent receivers, let's see if she can make it through their tight defense.

I do agree with that. But I would like to point out that Asian receivers have fast legs and reflexes too. Though not making a perfect pass, I believe that these Asian girls can at least keep the ball alive on air.

Just a difficult service for the recibers. It’s not the strongest but a the same time is like float but faster and she made jumping. Good!

I think it has a lot of velocity with just enough top spin but more importantly, it's the placement of the serves. She finds the hole effectively.

Jesus! I didn't even know they HAD aces in volleyball. I've played tennis for 35 years but this video is amazing! EDIT: However, in tennis, when the served ball touches the top of the net and becomes unreturnable, we call that a "let" and replay it. A close look at her will show that even though she is hitting with the power of a spike at the net her hand is not following through over the top of the ball, but rather slaps it flat. The ball leaves her hand with virtually no spin. A couple of views here from the receiving end show the ball knuckling in the air. I used to use this technique during my USVBA days and had a very high "no return" success rate.

Not to brag I think her service wouldn't be effective if she's facing asian teams like japan philippines thailand . They have excellent floor defense and reception although they are not too tall but I thought that was their advantage.

Joanna Grace De Guzman I’m a filipino, too. I have watched how our national team plays. They are poor in digging and receiving aspects. Needless to say, we are not in the same level as japan and thailand ( not yet, at least lol)

I'm Filipino but truthfully we are not im the same level with other Asian countries like Japan etc. Also, kids from the USA starts playing very young and takes their league seriously.
